Dr. Elizabeth Baird, DVM Veterinarian, Practice Owner About Dr. Baird is a second-generation Florida native from Dunedin.
At Country Oaks Animal Hospital & Boarding Kennel, we offer a variety of services to care for your pet. If you have any questions or would like more information on how we can care for your pet, please contact us today. Dermatologic issues are managed on an individualized basis with therapy selection based on.
In the event of an emergency during our normal office hours, please call ahead if possible and proceed directly to our practice. For after hour emergencies, we advise you to contact one of the animal emergency center(s) shown below. Located on the East side of Belcher Road in Largo, between East Bay Drive and Ulmerton Road (1/4 mile North of Ulmerton).
By using the appointment system, we are better able to serve all our clients with less waiting time. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority followed by patients with scheduled appointments. For your protection and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the lobby or exam rooms.

Best boarding, care and prices in the Clearwater area!! :)) Our Chihuahua loves going there with hugs, love and fun from the staff. They love their job and animals are their passion. There’s no transition after she comes home. Other places, our little dog was clingy and scared after coming home from boarding. At Country Oaks she gets a free bath after a 3 night stay. So nice!

The staff are kind and caring. In this pandemic time they must go in and out of the building many times so that they can communicate with you. Each person did so with a smile on their masked covered faces. (You can tell someone is smiling even if you can’t see their mouth) The office staff helped me navigate my first appointment with grace and… kindness. The veterinarian was informative and friendly. They are AWESOME, AMAZING there. They are always so friendly and professional. We love Dr. Baird and ALL the staff there. We drive 28 miles because they are the BEST! We trust them with our beautiful daughter,… Nevaeh. They have just completed a remarkable surgery and took nothing but the Best care of her. They all kept us up to date on each step and are just Amazing. We love them and highly recommend them to everybody!!! Thank you for all that you do.

I took my recently acquired hedgehog to Dr Baird yesterday for a baseline checkup - exotic vets are difficult to find and I think I found a top practitioner! She is very knowledgeable of hedgehogs (and other creatures as well). She spent a lot of time with me, listening to my questions and providing useful information. She also sent me an email with links to a few hedgehog resources, which is very helpful when learning about out-of-the-ordinary pets. Thank you Dr Baird!

The love and care given to my beloved Katie is hard to express in words. Katie was put to sleep ten years ago today. Dr. Baird gave Katie not only the finest care, but also love. She was so nice to me, as well as long time staff member, Suzanne Ames. I was blessed to have Country Oaks care for Katie.
