Sahaja Meditation
In 1970, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi developed a technique of meditation with the belief that unlocking one's Inner Energy and achieving Self Realization through Thoughtless Awareness, should be attainable for all seeking it. Since then, she has traveled the world educating people and speaking about world peace.

Shri Mataji has been awarded the United Nations Peace Medal, among others, for her achievements and teachings. She has also established a hospital, research facilities and an orphanage in her native India. Today, millions of people, adults and children, enjoy the benefits of this meditation in over 90 countries all around the world.
Services
Classes are led by experts, many with thousands of hours of experience and deep knowledge and skill. In addition, there are often people training to become instructors who are happy to offer individual guidance. Classes begin with a brief announcement and introduction followed by 30-40 minutes of instruction and practice.
Many people even experience the state of Thoughtless Awareness the very first time they try Sahaja Meditation. With practice, you will learn how to tap into your Inner Energy, giving you greater self awareness, better balance and a strong sense of well being. Sahaja Meditation has many levels, varied and deep, that can help you understand more about yourself - from health to spirituality.
Many find that it's best to meditate first thing in the morning and again just before bedtime. But when is a good time for you? Now? During lunch? Afternoon break? Set aside 10-20 minutes, twice a day, to practice. Think about it, this small investment every day, will pay huge dividends throughout every aspect of your life.
Sahaja Meditation really is easy to learn but we still recommend that you read this through before starting your meditation experience or just watch the video - then, go ahead, try it! Put your right hand on your lower left side, just above your hip and quietly say, either out loud or to your self, "I want to experience the pure knowledge."
There are many layers to Sahaja Meditation, future instruction will help you to understand your Subtle System and how to feel and use it to your benefit. You will learn about "protection" that balances your energy, and additional steps to assist you in your practice. I've been going to the Sahaja Meditation Center-Irvine since Feb 2017. It's a short amount of time, but already I have felt the energy in my head, above my head, my hands up to my elbows, and occasionally in my feet. Preeti is the instructor, and she is kind and generous with her time as the classes are always free. She teaches you how to silence your mind so that you feel peace and inner joy. She even introduced us to her family. In Chinese, the energy is called Chi. In India, it's called Kundalini. You may not feel the Kundalini the first time you try the meditation (although

Ektaa Center is an space for learning the basics of meditation, as well as practicing meditation for those who are advanced yogis.
I have been learning meditation since three months ago and I can say now that I have been feeling positive changes in my mood.
I've became more self-possessed and more serene, I'm able to see things with a better perspective and I'm presently more aware of myself.
