Communicating with a person who has a hearing loss can be stressful for both parties. Even when hearing devices are used, proper communication strategies are essential for maximizing the experience. Try the following tips when communicating with a hearing impaired individual. Maintain eye contact with the hearing impaired individual, facing them directly.
A hearing evaluation is a test to assess the sensitivity of a patient's hearing. It is useful in detecting the type and extent of hearing loss and can help an audiologist determine an appropriate course of treatment. A complete hearing evaluation typically consists of several different types of hearing tests.
Noise exposure is a leading cause of hearing loss. It usually develops gradually, and may go unnoticed until it has progressed to a point where treatment options are limited. There are steps you can take now to prevent hearing loss down the road. Some types of hearing loss are unavoidable. That which occurs with aging (presbycusis) can't be halted, but regular hearing tests can detect problems early.

My wife has been requesting the results to test for 4 weeks now and she keeps getting the run around. First the associate loses her paperwork. Then that same individual did not remember speaking to us about the same situation on the same day. We have dropped off the paperwork multiple times due to the information being lost and still no results. My wife is terrified about the possible outcome of the results and we cannot get a simple answer as to what is going on like if this is not a life threating situation, which it is. We just want an answer and we cannot even receive that. This is ridiculous

Chronic sinus congestion all the time is misery. Thank You Danielle for scheduling the appointment, and for always taking the time to return my phone calls.Thank You Dr. Parry for your standard's of excellence in diagnosing/treating my son's chronic sinus condition, and sleep apnea. It is a relief to finally hear my son breathe easily through his nose as he sleeps, or see him eat a meal without having to pause for a breath in between bites. We are grateful for the blessings, and wish you all the best.

WOW, Christine Francart, Doctor of Audiology is a rare and world class specialist. I put off getting my hearing aids for years because I was afraid. Christine was so patient with me. She let me voice all my concerns. Addressed all of them with confidence. She is incredibly well informed. Clearly an expert in her field. She cares deeply about her patients and is 100% sincere. I even had a technical issue at one point. I left Christine a voice message during off hours. She called me immediately and walked me through the steps needed to correct the issue. I would recommend her to anyone and I look

In general they could provide some better amenities, I come to get allergy shots so I have to be there 30 min. every week. Coffee, Wifi, and/or some kind of power would really make that 30 min. much more bearable. But the main reason I wouldn't recommend this place is there appears to be ZERO respect for others time. I have had two ENT appointments rescheduled for weeks away and at least 25% percent of the time I've had to spend an extra 30 minutes in the office for Allergy shots because a doctor was late.

The Dr is good but the admin staff are completely incompetent. After telling them 4 times they still don't seem to understand that i have 2 insurances for my son. I gave them the information to many times for them not to understand how to do their jobs. If you need help I can help you since I do the same job and can understand when some one tells me I have already given that to them and already spoke to them. Better manners and listening would be a great improvement for the staff. IF i get charged for my son missing his appointment i will sue. It seem like they have changed and not for the best

We have known many people to go to Dr Perry for tubes and frequent ear infections. I personally think that he's a wonderful doctor and treated us well. I'm very frustrated by how they're office is managed. Our first appointment was input at the wrong time. Our second appointment was delayed for over 45 minutes. We even arrived early to make sure that insurance was done and paper work could be submitted before our appointment time. My baby fell asleep, so we left. I will not be going back, and until they get their appointment timing fixed I will suggest to anyone and everyone to avoid their office

Cannot say enough good things. The staff at all levels has been nothing but kind and patient. They are quite knowledgable and on the things they don’t know, they look into it and have consistently called me back. Even my Dr (Soderburg) took the time to call me back personally about a few questions I have had. During my appointments he is not rushed or pushy and he has always made time to ensure that I fully understand what my options are. I have used his office for my son as well and everyone there is great with kids too! Thank you to everyone who works here, you are doing a fantastic job!
