Founded in 1951, UYC is a member of the United States Sailing Association and is listed on the registry of the Yachting Clubs of America. UYC members participate in active power and sailing fleets that are berthed at Club docks. University Yacht Club is located on Lake Lanier in Flowery Branch, Georgia near Atlanta.

Lake Lanier is a man-made lake encompassing 38,000 acres of water and 692 miles of shoreline at normal level. Its maximum depth is 156 feet. Named for poet Sidney Lanier, it was built and is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources patrols the lake.

A hidden gem filled with wonderful people and an amazing atmosphere. UYC is a great social club as well as a boating community. The restaurant is amazing!!! Top-notch!

My dad is a member here and absolutely loves it. He is into the club, the community and all of the events. It's been a good outlet for his social life as well as a good way to stay connected with others during his retirement. I enjoy visiting him here when I go Lake Lanier

High quality marina with many options for membership. Premier access to the south end of Lake Lanier. Beautiful grounds and facilities. I only give 4 stars because of price of membership and the initiation process.

Very nice campus the docks are in first-class shape. Folks are real nice and everything is kept up well. Have a great clubhouse and restaurant as well as fuel. They have great WiFi for the boats, too.

I have been a member since 2000 and have found the place to be a top knotch operation. The facilities, the location and the activities are second to none. No better place in the lake to enjoy with your family and guest. The current manager and chef are the best in the business. If looking for loud and wild all-night parties go to Holiday, this is not your place.

The best kept secret on Lake Lanier. Fabulous events, camaraderie and deep friendships. Terrific facilities including wonderful dining, huge deck with gazebo and glassed in pavilion, and an open air chapel where we had our wedding and reception
