Matis Dermatology
Skin cancer is the most common form of human cancers, affecting more than one million Americans every year. One in five Americans will develop skin cancer at some point in their lives. Skin cancers are generally curable if caught early. Moles are brown or black growths, usually round or oval, that can appear anywhere on the skin.

They can be rough or smooth, flat or raised, single or in multiples. The dermatology professionals at Matis Dermatology are pleased to welcome you to our practice. We want all our patients to be informed decision makers and fully understand any health issues you face. That's why we've developed a web site loaded with valuable information about dermatology and skin problems and treatments.
Services
Comfort and convenience are the hallmarks of Matis Dermatology's office operations. To ensure your convenience, below is the information you need about our hours, location, appointment scheduling, insurance acceptance, and billing. We have three (3) "reserved" parking stalls in our parking lot. They are the first 3 stalls on the left hand side when you enter the lot from 200 South.
Your first visit to Matis Dermatology involves a few special steps so that we can get to know you. You'll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, and more. There's also background information about our committed staff and our first visit procedures.
Ultraviolet B rays are only present outdoors. They do not penetrate glass. However, they do reflect off many surfaces, such as snow, water, sand, and even cement, and you may be exposed to them whenever you are outdoors, even when wearing a hat or sitting in the shade. They are stronger in the summer and in the middle of the day, from 10 AM to 4 PM.
While it's important to wash your face, washing too many times a day can irritate your skin, causing new breakouts. Are you faithfully treating your acne but still seeing new breakouts? Your skin care routine could be to blame. If you wake up to find a few large pimples on your otherwise clear face, you may consider that severe acne.
Working out affects skin in good and not-so-good ways. Here is how to protect it while getting fit. Working out regularly can help maintain your weight, boost your overall mood and self-esteem, motivate you to eat healthier, and do wonders for your skin. Prevent acne: To remove sweat during a workout, use a clean towel and gently pat the sweat from your skin.
