Joseph Oat Corporation (originally Joseph Oat and Sons) is the oldest continuously operating industrial fabrication business in the United States. Founded in 1788 in historic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it was likely patronized by the U.S. founding fathers on their sojourns through narrow cobblestone streets.

Our deep water port location allows us to economically ship equipment worldwide.

Our strategic location has allowed Joseph Oat to compete on a global scale for many decades. Joseph Oat Corporation's large shop is comprised of 120,000 square feet of total floor space and is serviced by overhead cranes rated for 160 tons of lifting capacity.
Joseph Oat's experience and expertise in the design and manufacturing of shell and tube heat exchangers is well documented, and our renowned reputation in this art is well established internationally. Oat designs and fabricates heat exchangers in every configuration and size, from small units to units measuring over 144 (3700 mm) in diameter and weighing up to 200 tons.

Looked like a great place to work...but it was just logistics not going to work for me
