Instilling core values, teaching an appreciation for others and learning new skills and activities is what we strive to pass on to our girls at Mataponi. With rich traditions that date back over 100 years, Camp Mataponi on beautiful Sebago Lake, offers a full 7 week session or a 4 week session with an option to stay.
We have developed a carefully designed, structured program to promote the individual and group development of each camper. Since 1994, Marcy and Dan Isdaner have been the owners and operators of Camp Mataponi. Their conviction is that being "hands on" as much as possible allows them to have a pulse on what is happening at camp and make each summer a success.

Rich in tradition, the spirit of the girls of the past 100 summers lives on today in a warm, nurturing environment that promotes the development of each child's individual and personal growth.
Founded in 1910 as a traditional girls overnight camp, Camp Mataponi successfully balances the spirit of today's modern lifestyles with decades of rich traditions of camp life on Sebago Lake. Year after year, alumni stop by to visit and are amazed that Camp still looks like the Mataponi they remember as little girls.

Camp Mataponi prides itself in having developed a carefully designed and structured program to promote the individual and group development of each camper at our all-girls summer camp in Maine. We've done so by selecting both physical and creative activities for our campers to partake in. Whether they are owning the stage or riding horseback, we have something on offer for everyone.
We recognize that there is no greater trust than that placed on us by our campers' parents, and no greater expectation than theirs for our complete dedication and attention to their daughters' needs. With this in mind, countless hours and immeasurable travel time are directed at personally interviewing and hiring staff members who are "just right" for Camp Mataponi.
