Kim is the owner of Katura Day Spa and Kanei Skincare by Katura, co-founder of Katura Med Spa, Esthetician, and a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist. Kanei Skincare by Katura. She is not new to the beauty industry. Her passion for this industry goes back 20 years, when she started as a hair stylist in the Maryland area.
To broaden her skills and passion, she went back to school at Aveda Institute for Esthiology. Her dream was to own a Day and Med Spa. After retiring from the IT and marketing field, she decided to follow that dream by opening up Katura Day Spa, shortly after moving to the Charlotte, NC area in 2016.

In December 2021, my mother and I celebrated our birthdays with a spa weekend in Charlotte. As part of that weekend, we booked a spa day at Katura Day Spa. From the outside, it is rather non-descript, but when we entered the establishment, it was beautiful, warm, and relaxing. We each had facials. 90 minute messages, and ancillary services. To say that the services were amazing is an understatement! From making our appointments to the flow of the services, the services were top notch. We have recommended Katura repeatedly and can't wait to go back!

My massage wasn’t everything I hoped for it to be. This was the first time I got massage ever. From the dry greeting to the lack of receiving a “thank you” for the tip I gave to my therapist, this was an unexceptional experience. I feel like massage therapists should be passionate about the service they provide and clients should be able to acknowledge that passion through their performance. I’m not trying to bash the therapist, but it just seemed like I was a job that needed to get completed. Nothing about this experience was therapeutic. As I sit in my car writing this, my back is hurting

Absolute great experience. It was my first time at the spa and I was literally greeted with such warmth and genuine care from the Owner Kim! Considering we are currently in a pandemic, I really appreciate how thorough this business complied with the specific protocols to keep everyone safe and socially distanced ! The aura and energy was so pure and positive and I will definitely be coming here again!

Kim was amazing! She walked me through each step she was going to make and why it was going to benefit my skin. I loved the essential oil she has you inhale to help relax you at the beginning and end of the treatment.
Her salon was very clean and her work area was very calming! The whole experience was very professional but very personal. She's very down to earth and welcoming.
There is a special on Monday's and Thursday's for $50 microdermabrasion! Can't wait to go back and have Kim work her magic.

Today was my first appointment with Kim and I can say I throughly enjoyed the experience. The spa is actually behind the Wells Fargo building but GPS will take you to Costco. Lol
Kim greeted me at the door and was very friendly. The room was beautiful. The walls were nice and the set up was clean and organized. She went over my intake information and asked questions. She explained the treatment plan and that it may change based upon what she saw on under the light.
Kim explained products being used and how they would help the skin. I got a microdermabrasion on my face and it was heavenly.
