Our mission is to glorify Christ by providing quality, charitable health care to the uninsured in our area!. In 1997, the mission committee of First Presbyterian Church, Bristol, TN read an article in Parade Magazine about the health care crisis in the United States. It stated that one million more Americans go without health insurance each year, and one way communities could help was to start a charitable clinic.
The initial planning meeting for the health center was attended by one hundred people. The Healing Hands Health Center opened just eighteen months later. Healing Hands Health Center provides services for our uninsured neighbors: medical care and much needed medications; dental care including exams, x-rays, cleanings, extractions, fillings, partials, and dentures; chiropractic care; eye exams and eyeglasses; counseling services.

We are very blessed in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia! We live in a vibrant community with a very supportive hospital system and a talented community of medical professionals. But even amid this abundance, there is a big gap in our health care system for those who lack personal or employer-sponsored health insurance or access to Medicare or Medicaid.
Healing Hands Health Center is happy to help the community of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia in terms of their medical needs. Here are some of the stories of the patients that were helped by Healing Hands. Alicia Robertson, 61, had been complaining about her missing teeth. Being a child who grew up in a large family, money was scarce, and dental care was the least of their worries.
Treatment for minor acute illnesses like bronchitis, sinus infections, influenza and urinary tract infections. Ongoing care for chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, allergies, thyroid disorders and high cholesterol. First off, Veterans DO have to pay for dental!! It's only $35 but what I read about them, it was suppose to be free for Veterans. Now, no matter what they do it's ONLY $35, which is really cheap. The biggest reason I wanted to do a review is the main doctor watches over the students AND PULLED 5 TEETH ONE WAS A WISDOM TOOTH AND TOLD ME TO TAKE ASPIRIN!!! I said ok cause he said the nerve ends were dead on 2 and I wouldn't need anything. WELL, NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS IN HELL FOR DAYS AND CALLED WITH STILL NO HELP!!! I have a dog and the doctor would NEVER send her home without something to help her

I'm actually using my wife's phone to rate Healing Hands, however, as long as I can rate them, it makes no difference to me...lol. Healing Hands staff and Dr.Arnold are some the best people you could ever meet, they treat you with respect and actually care about their patients. I will never go to any other practice for my symptoms, their just great there. I would recommend them to anyone. J.B

Had teeth pulled there twice in the the last 2 months. The first time I had 5 teeth pulled after wards I had an extreme amount of pain and a huge swollen welt came up under my tounge and they wasn't concerned about it at all when I tried to explain it to the wanna be dentist he told me it was drysocet. Yesterday on the 13th I had 4 teeth pulled and I asked for something for the pain and they told me over the counter tylonal and Ibuprofen would be fine. I tried explaining to then that I had to work and that tylonal and Ibuprofen would not work for my pain and both times the just didn't care. So
