I wouldn't go anywhere else for glasses- EVER! The customer service and professionalism are outstanding. Thanks to Susan, I had my eye glasses in a week! If you are looking for an intimate experience and an old-fashioned eye exam without all the frills and overhead, this is the place. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

Asheville's best kept secret. Had an excellent experience with this shoppe. So, I'm thinking this sweet spot should be more of a shared secret among Ashevillians.
So, how did I come across this shop? I went to Google Maps, typed in optometrists and started making calls. I called and asked for contact fitting appointment quotes from 10 different local businesses. Before calling T.O.S., it was looking like an appointment (including health exam, follow-up, fitting, glasses prescription, contacts prescription, and trial lenses) was going to cost me anywhere between $129-$300. Yes, there's that much

I found this optometrist through google reviews and chose them because they were a small business, close to my home, able to get me in immediately, had great reviews for customer service and told me there would be no second charge on my follow up visit for contacts. The initial visit Nov 2017 went well but I work in logistics and wasn't able to get off work through Christmas. A few months went by before I contacted the Optical Shoppe again to follow up with my contacts.
Although the doctor's schedule had changed and did not align with my work schedule they were able to work with me and get me

Popped-in The Optical Shoppe to have my granddaughter's (brand new) eyeglasses adjusted and am so very happy I did! George was genuinely helpful! A little girl, scared enough to ask if "it was going to hurt?" left saying, "That man was really, really nice!" Customer service lives on in this business! We're taking our business into The Optical Shoppe!

Went to the store to get my glasses fixed. Jackie (the technician) fixed both my regular glasses and sunglasses. We had a nice conversation about the Ironman optometrist. Afterwards, I asked Jackie the cost and it was free. When you find someone this good you stick with them. Jackie and Dr. Ironman will be my new place of business for eye glasses from now on forever. Very good service. Really good people.

Pretty uncomfortable experience going in to look at frames. Without going into too much detail I just want to say that I would recommend folks find a different optical business to support in Asheville, there are many. And, the owners of this shop should probably do a little more training to ensure that their employees don't put their personal views on customers and/or put their big awkward feet in their mouths and embarrass customers in general and definitely not in front of other customers. Ya know what, just stay away from this place. As if glasses shopping isn't awkward enough.

The Optical Shoppe saved our honeymoon!! My new husband and I were visiting the area when he tore a contact (and forgot to bring spares). We must have called every place in the state that sells contacts and no one stocked the kind my husband needed. We began to despair when we found Jackie and she came to our rescue!! She worked with our optometrist back home and had exactly the kind he needed. Our experience with the Optical Shoppe was exceptional from beginning to end!

Very friendly and helpful. Jackie fixed my glasses - the rimless lenses had started to come loose and we were in Asheville on vacation. She made short work of tightening everything and then wouldn't charge me. If I lived here, The Optical Shoppe would be my opticians. They had a fabulous and huge array of great looking frames on display. What you want in a provider on every level. Highly recommend!

My appointment was at 11:30 and I was done with the exam and fitting for my glasses by 11:50! It was a Friday and they told me my glasses would be ready by Monday. First time I have ever had a doctor allow me to adjust the eye test machine to the precise clarity for my eye sight. At 1:50 I received a call saying my glasses were ready to be picked up. Would not go any where else in asheville. Super nice husband and wife business.
