Ever since opening the doors to the public, Karner Surveying, Inc. has supported the Residential Real Estate Market, Single Family Construction Industry and the Commercial Development Industry along the Treasure Coast with emphasis on the Martin County and St. Lucie County areas.
Should the property you are planning to purchase be in a FEMA designated Flood Zone the purchase of an Elevation Certificate SHOULD be your FIRST step in evaluating your property. As outlined in the example attached a living floor elevation that is at a lower elevation then the Base Flood Elevation determined by FEMA WILL affect the cost of your homeowners insurance.
