I had a closing and a purchase that Getty was the title company on. We hired them to do our 1031 and it was a train wreck of an experience. 30 mins before the closing my banker had to redo the docs because the lack of preparation on Gettys part. The 1031 was wrong even after we closed and now we can't use the 1031 on our taxes without some "major" gray areas!!!! Something as simple as a 1031 should not have gray areas to cause a red flag with the government and cause a full audit on us. We hired the "experts" to do this service for us - paid them to do this - and they messed the whole thing up
