PACE GNO services (Program of All-Inclusive care for the Elderly in the Greater New Orleans area) are provided for PACE participants at our beautiful, unique and historic Adult Day Health and Activities Centers, in the Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans, and on the Westbank in Marrero. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with everyone who has been impacted by Hurricane Ida.

We are here to help our brothers and sisters in the community with their needs in the midst of this suffering. Catholic Charities is assessing damage to our facilities and developing our short and long term responses to Hurricane Ida. If you are in need of assistance, please contact us to be put on a list to be followed up with:.
Services
PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) GNO, an affiliated ministry of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, works to enhance the quality of life and autonomy for frail older adults while maximizing their dignity and respect. The PACE organization enables these frail older adults to live in their homes and in the community as long as medically and socially feasible, as they preserve and support the older adult's family unit.
When authorized by the team, PACE provides all needed preventive, primary health, acute and long term care services so that older individuals may live in their own homes and communities as long as possible. We believe that older adults with chronic care needs do better when they are able to remain in their homes and in their community.
When you join PACE Greater New Orleans program, you have certain rights and protections. PACE Greater New Orleans must fully explain your rights to you or someone acting on your behalf in a way you can understand at the time you join. You have the right to be treated with dignity and respect at all times, to have all of your care kept private, and to get compassionate, and considerate care.
PACE Greater New Orleans provides for your medical care around the clock, twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, three hundred sixty-five (365) days a year. When you enroll in PACE Greater New Orleans, you will receive an emergency plan. This sheet will clearly identify what an emergency is for you.
In order to be eligible for PACE a person must be aged 55 or older, certified by the state to need nursing home care, and live in an area served by a PACE program. All prescription and non-prescription drugs deemed necessary by the PACE interdisciplinary care team are paid for by the PACE program. If a person does not qualify for Medicaid, he or she is responsible for the portion of the monthly premium Medicaid would pay.
