Unmarried parents who have a child together may face custody, visitation and support issues. Either parent may petition the court to establish a legal parental relationship; and either parent may request orders for custody, visitation, or support. If a Voluntary Declaration of Paternity was not completed, paternity or parentage may need to be established through a court-mandated DNA test.

Receptionist said I couldn't talk to the attorney, had to talk to her paralegal. Paralegal said she couldn't give advice, and attorney was not scheduling appointments for more than a month in advance. Both women I spoke seemed to be annoyed to be taking the call. I was referred to this attorney by a law service. Why do you take referrals if you can't give advice for more than a month and do not want to help people?
