Air quality testing can tell you whether you have a mold problem even if you cannot find the evidence mold growth. We test air samples from your home or business for the concentration of mold spores. Samples are taken from the air and are later examined under a microscope in our labs. Our water extraction equipment will remove the majority of the water from the affected area(s) including carpets and upholstery.
After that we use industrial fans, desiccant drying equipment and dehumidifiers to rapidly dry the still wet areas. We then use a HEPA filtered vacuum to clean up the remaining dust that might have settled on the surface(s). Steps of mold removal: 1. The source of the water must be identified and corrected 2. All wet materials (including carpets and upholstery) must be dried completely.

After an inspection has taken place and lab results have confirmed that there is mold present in the environment, removal is necessary. Floods, pipe leak, roof leak, a malfunctioning appliance, sewage backup and any other source of large amounts of water intrusion into your property, you have water damage.
If you have had a flood, pipe leak, roof leak, a malfunctioning appliance, sewage backup and any other source of large amounts of water intrusion into your property, you have water damage. If you have not taken care of water damage within 24-48 hours, most likely mold has begun to develop. If you have had water damage, the first thing that needs to be done before mold remediation can take place is water damage restoration.
A visual inspection is the most important initial step in identifying a possible mold contamination problem. The purpose of the visual assessment is to identify visual mold contamination or conditions that may be conducive to microbial growth; to detect the presence, or likely presence, of mold. We pinpoint the problem areas in your home or business.
After an inspection has taken place and lab results have confirmed that there is mold present in the environment, removal is necessary. When choosing a mold remediation professional, you must be able to trust that he/she truly cares about you and everyone who may have potentially been exposed to toxic mold and will, therefore, be highly knowledgeable, diligent and professional when it comes to removing it.
Extensive mold contamination in office buildings and other indoor commercial environments can be a serious and dangerous problem. Mold contamination can develop due to chronic leaks, floods or raw sewage exposure. If the problem is left untreated, mold may harm the physical structure of the building and put the tenants and/or workers at risk of health problems.

Given damages caused by Hurricane Ida, I needed to contact a professional sanitizing company that could address mold removal and bacteria, especially in the midst of a pandemic. Saul could not have been nicer yet inclusively professional on the phone as he shared his knowledge in a manner that was unpretentious and extremely generous. When Kendrick came, he also displayed a sense of honesty in telling me what did and did not need to be addressed. I feel very comfortable with these experts who do not engage in the marketing trap of hidden fees and clear expectations.

The mold I had in my bathroom ended up being very minor and just secondary to condensation build up and didn't needed anything specific treatment other than cleaning with light disinfectant. It's been a month now and no signs of it coming back. David who is very knowledgeable and experienced in this field gave a free consultation and thorough inspection of the entire apartment and had many helpful tips and advice. Very courteous and professional and offered to return again free of charge if it recurred. Highly recommended.

Big Apple Mold Removal staff was very knowledgable and very kind when I asked questions about the process and moving forward. The team will keep you well informed and walk you through each process. I had air testing done in each room and so far I am very satisfied. If you have any smells in the house or inklings of something wrong in the air or on your surface then please don't hesitate to call this company.

David was absolutely amazing. He talked me through my options. He followed up and was on time. When he got to the apartment, it was clear that he was an expert in mold identification and had the right professional tools to figure out the situation. He was really reasonable and very genuine. They really cared about giving us a good experience rather than making a quick buck. We're always going to call on Big Apple Mold Removal when we need mold removal help!

This was a much easier transaction than I expected. I scheduled the mold inspection very quickly over the phone. There was no up-selling. No pressure to do UN-necessary testing for extra cost. This turned out to be a very pleasant experience as David was very professional and experienced. I am very happy with their service. This the second time I have used them and both times I have been very pleased.

It is rare in NYC to find a company that combines professionalism, honesty, quality of work and care - this is one of those rare companies!! From the start the process was very different from other competitions I called:
1) This is the only company that came out and did a FREE assessment of the damage (versus other companies charged an average of $400)
2) Their quote was very reasonable for the scope of the work involved
3) They backed their work up through the entire process with a fixed price approach (if there was still above normal moisture levels upon their inspection they would continue

I can't say enough about the knowledgeable and thorough service and professionalism I experienced from the big Big Apple team, from first call to site visit. Came away with a feeling that they are a highly trustworthy organization. Rare these days in the service industry.
They were one of two companies in NYC metro with great reviews. I called both, and Big Apple has a policy where they do an inspection for no fee to start. (The other requires testing fee at a minimum in the onsite visit). Once BigApple does a visible inspection, if they believe there is an issue, you can order

We called Big apple Mold removal in Long Island to inspect the house we were planning to buy. They have all the technical knowledge, and explained everything in detail before concluding anything. Great communication throughout the inspection. They saved us from walking into a super moldy, expensive problematic house. I would not hesitation to give 5 full stars to them

This firm's #1 local Yelp-review status does not reflect its untrustworthiness.
Its $650 "MoldReport" report (generated by EMLab P&K and approved by TestAmerica; you can see an example of such a report at http://moldreport.com/mold_services.html ) showed only 1 out of 20 mold indicators in our home, one room of which had a leak, as "moderate," and the 19 other indicators a "low." Yet Big Apple Mold Removal's additional, scaremongering, 22-page "report" of its own, crammed with descriptions of many molds and the worst illnesses they might induce

This Company was quick, excellent, and honest. They showed me not only where I can fix the mold, however, also other possible problems in my house! They didn't force me to take mold tests that I didn't need. In addition, they had excellent customer service, and were truly an expert in their field, as they are certified, have a license, and answered all of my difficult questions. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do this job!
