Rhonda Thompson joined the studio 23 year ago, after moving here from Alaska. Her input, skills and talents are invaluable in so many areas. Rhonda is Susan's assistant and our in-house bookkeeper, the finishing and wiring department and the shipping department. Rhonda can fix just about everything.
Rhonda is an organic farmer who grows chilis, squashes, cucumbers, apples and pears and makes chicos in a traditional horno. One of Rhonda's favorite products is the Calla Wall Sconce. All of our hand forged items are made to last for generations, this includes our various Calla Wall Sconces. Unlike many of our other forgings it is more delicate and refined with it's Calla Lily shape and accompanying candle.

In 1954 my political scientist father returned from a year in Burma with three wicker chinlone balls. I was six years old. They fascinated me. I enjoyed looking at them almost as much as kicking them. These orbs are spherical projections of an icosidodecahedron, the Archimedean Solid composed of 20 equilateral triangles and 12 regular pentagons.
Organize your kitchen with this beautifully hand forged pot rack that was crafted using 95% recycled steel. With adequate room to store all of your pots and pans, it comes with plenty of hooks to optimize storage. The double sided hooks are cleverly designed, making more room for items to hang next to one another.
We recently installed Visioning #4 in St. George, Utah. This 125"h x 24"w x 24"d forged steel sculpture and powder coated is near the Children's Splash Pad next to the Children's Museum in downtown St. George. Christopher's Blooms will be on exhibit this month at La Mesa of Santa Fe as part of the Canyon Road Sculpture Month.
I improvise flute music to interact with magical places--music forging a middle way between emotions too subtle to capture in words and their final expression in metal. My collectors and customers see all of this in my work, though to me it still remains a mystery. Here is an 8 minute flute song improvised on the third morning of my 2019 solo kayak trip down the Grand Canyon.

This is an amazing place if you a love of quality, hand-made artistry. Susan & Christopher are always willing to take visitors around the studio, where you can see how blacksmithing works - the machines are amazing to see in progress, guarantee you'll leave with a new appreciation for ironwork and a memory you'll cherish.
