Many times in my 71 years have I gone to PT, but this time I have had the best experience. Previously, I was never "pushed" when the therapist thought I could do better. I was just allowed to continue at my own pace. I thank you for your kindness and understanding, as well as knowing how far I can really go.
Appointments typically last 1 hour but may be shorter or longer depending upon your specific condition. If it is your first visit or initial evaluation, expect it to take longer. Please bring the script from your medical doctor, your insurance card, a photo ID, any copies of imaging studies e.g. Reports/Impressions from past X-Ray/MRI/CTs, as well as your filled out paperwork.
Originally used by NASA to test balance on astronauts, the Neurocom technology generates measurable and objective data regarding balance and functional limitations. This data provides valuable information to guide treatment programs that reduce the risk of re-injury and allow for safer and faster return to sports and work.
During assessments, we quantify a patient's ability to maintain visual acuity and stable gaze while actively moving the head. Quantifies the impact of Vestibula-Ocular Reflex (VOR) system impairment on a patient's ability to perceive objects accurately while moving the head at a given velocity on a given axis.
New York Balance & Vestibular Physical Therapy utilizes the Neurocom Balance Master force plate technology to provide a safer and faster rehabilitation by showing objective information about a patient's limitations and helping reduce the risk of falls. With computerized force plate feedback on the Balance Master, we can obtain daily compliance levels to facilitate functional gains in each session.

I have been battling dizziness for many many years and it has taken over my life. The past year I have been to 4 specialist and had many many tests done. No one could seem to figure it out. A friend of mine told me about this place and I was expecting just to go in for some vestibular physical therapy. (Which I have been for so many times before) but this time was different after performing a few tests some that none of the specialist did. I finally ended up with a diagnosis. I have a long road ahead and it won’t be easy. But finally knowing what’s wrong with me knowing I will get my life back
