From routine checkups to treatments for surgery, Newman-Thiele Foot and Ankle Associates is equipped to handle all your podiatric needs. Ankle sprains are caused by an unnatural twisting or force on the ankle bones of the foot, often resulting in one or more ligaments on the outside of the ankle to be stretched or torn.
Dr. Philip S. Newman completed a BA degree in Biology from the University of Rochester in 1979. He earned his medical degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1983. He completed his residency in Podiatric Surgery at the Loretto Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. His two-year residency at the Loretto Hospital focused on the surgical management of foot disorders, diabetic foot care, sports medicine and geriatric foot health.
Dr. Thiele and Dr. Bhoola are also available in the Center for Wound Healing at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset Campus on Tuesday 8-11am, Wednesday 8-1pm and Friday 8-430pm for any patients with lower extremity wounds or emergencies. After hours, one of our doctors is always on call for 24/7 coverage of emergencies 24/7.
