Inspired by Nurse Practitioner, Robert "Francis" Mijares, the late owner and founder of Zest Family Practice. Francis was a pioneer in Advanced Practice Nursing and an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. He grew a large following in his clinic and was joined by other providers which included his sister and fellow Nurse Practitioner, Raissa Behm, Ashley Whatley and Tara (McDonald) Bertoldo.
At Pride Family Medicine we offer a wide range of laboratory & diagnostic services to ensure that you get supportive insight into your health. We utilize some of the most common point of care tests to give you quick results when it matters most. Additional testing is sent to CPL or Quest Diagnostics.
A significant part of you and your family's health is preventative treatments. That's why we take great care to offer a variation of vaccines that can safeguard your health. The pricing of treatments, services and special offers are subject to change and terms and conditions. Kindly check service costs upon booking.
We currently offer IV hydration as treatment of dehydration related to acute non-emergent illness or physical activity such as for marathon runners or triathletes. This may be combined with medications to improve the effects of treatment. The pricing of treatments, services and special offers are subject to change and terms and conditions.
Warts or skin tags can often be disturbing, however these conditions are very common and easily treated and removed. At Pride we offer skin tag and wart removal in Cedar Park. A wart is caused by a build-up of skin layers caused by the wart-causing Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). You can get warts by having physical contact with someone else who has warts.

I wish I could give more stars than 5! This is by far the best Medical Practice I have ever been too. I’ve been a client of theirs for almost 5 years now and I don’t ever plan to change. Even moving to where they are a 40 minutes drive from me now still won’t make me change doctors. Their customer service is phenomenal. They genuinely care about their patients and don’t try and squeeze every penny they can out of you. Super inclusive and accepting of everyone from all walks of life. Highly recommend.

December 22, 2021. Catherine is amazing! Outstanding customer service. At first I was here in Austin temporarily, now I’ll be staying and was in need of finding new primary care. I called yesterday and spoke with Catherine on the phone, she instructed me to fill out the new patient forms. In less than 20 minutes after submitting the forms, she called me back and gave me an appointment in January. I explained to her my running out of medication and she offered to put me on the cancellation list. This morning she calls me up and gives me an appointment for next week! I’m so grateful thank you

The doctors themselves are very kind and know what they're doing. They're delicate with their patients and will work to help them as much as possible. I've had some issues with communication, but Raissa quickly resolved it as fast as she could, even on an off day. They generally do try to keep a very welcoming environment :)

From the moment I stepped inside the Pride Family Medicine door I felt welcomed. The front desk staff was attentive, while also multitasking. I waited just a minute or so before being seen. The nurse was very friendly and thorough. Not long after I had my vitals done with the nurse, Dr. Whatley came in. She was friendly, attentive, and professional. Dr. Whatley made me feel comfortable and really listened to what I was saying. I have some Dr. anxiety issues and she, as well as the Pride staff, helped me feel more relaxed and eased some of the anxiety.

I have never had such a welcoming, amazing experience at a physician’s office. We went for our son but now I’m thinking about going myself. I was floored by how kind and friendly the nurse was, and then how amazing, attentive and attuned the doctor was to my teen son and his needs. She spoke directly to him when relevant and to us only as needed which I really appreciated. The inclusiveness and support we experienced has been unmatched elsewhere. Excellent doctors. Poor front desk customer service. Front desk use to be excellent with previous owner. Front desk is about having a genuine welcoming personality and pleasant attitude, not seem bothered doing a job. Again, the doctors/nurse practitioners are the best I’ve ever visited, my current doctor and the one before her from previous owner, both excellent.

The office is very modern and clean. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. I was seen right away with absolutely no wait. Raissa has excellent bedside manners, and this was truly the best medical care I’ve ever received. Her medical assistant, Brenda, was amazing as well and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a family medicine provider.

Here is a photo of me being told it was going to be 135 dollars in addition to the 90 since the owner is literally gaslighting me and calling me a liar in all caps on my own yelp review. I should have to be re established or reintroduced or anything that is going to cost that much money when you already have my charts, already have my info, and its literally the same doctor. And further more how dare you call me a liar when I'm literally just talking about my own experience? Did you think I wouldn't still have the message? This is absolutely horrible. You claim to be helping the community

I had my first visit today with NP Ashley Whatley she was very thorough and was able to address my concerns. The office staff was very nice and the environment of the office itself was very clean and well kept. I'm glad I found them. I also saw Lexi for a free consult to discuss a skin care regimen for adult acne I've been suffering from. You can tell she is very educated in her line of work and was very informative. I feel confident I've found someone to help me get skin under control. I can't wait to see the results I get from the face reality line they referred me to.

This medical office is absolutely amazing. I have been seeing NP Whatley for the past half decade for all of my medical needs, and she has never disappointed me. She has amazing bedside manner, a wonderful team of medical assistants that provide support services, and a very kind office staff. The office in general is always clean, smells wonderful, and I love that they require everyone to wear a mask when visiting the office. You'll love it here if you're looking for a new primary care provider!

I started going to Pride a few years ago (when it was Zest). I've been seeing Ashley for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and I'm so pleased. The entire staff is great. Usually you can get an appointment right away. I've never had to wait in the waiting room and they don't leave you waiting in the exam room either. Ashley is very matter-of-fact and talks through options/everything with you. I've never felt rushed through an appointment. Even tho I started seeing her for HRT she's become my primary, helping me with other issues, wellness, preventive health

Fantastic practice and Aesthetics clinic! The staff is like family and you will not be disappointed by the level of service. They reopened this week after circumstances out of their control forced the abrupt closing of Zest Family Medicine. The staff is carrying on the vision of the original Nurse Practitioner and owner Francis Mijares after his passing in November. I highly recommend them for your medical, aesthetic and health needs!
