Doug's dad taught him how to sew when he was a kid. Doug watched his dad upholster anything from home furnishings to restaurant seating and back again. His upholstery journey, however, didn't take off until he moved back to Crested Butte, Colorado in 2016 and started upholstering for local restaurants.
Our new Rugged tire covers are made with a high performance outdoor fabric that is water, sun, tear, mold and mildew resistant. These covers can stand the test of the elements, from the snowy mountains to the sunny beach. We tested the prototype for 3 years and it held up to whatever we threw at it, even multiple cleanings from a power washer.

Doug actually answered my call on New Years Eve-Wow! I had a fairly new boat cover that got hit by crazy winds and did some damage to cover.

I did a lot of research to find a good upholsterer, but was having difficulty finding someone who could take on a complete reupholstering of my 1998 GMC pickup. That is until I found SewDope Custom Upholstery. Doug, the owner, was outstanding to work with. Not only did he do an fantastic job on the interior, but he helped keep costs as reasonable as possible. The final product, with new seat upholstery, carpets, side panels, and headliner is truly show worthy. I’d strongly recommend SewDope for your upholstery jobs big and small.
