Welcome to The Billy Motel and Bar, a hub for travelers and locals to meet, wind down or reboot on top of the mountain. Our pocket-size, ten-room motel and bar sits squarely between the entrance to Blackwater Falls State Park and the town of Davis, West Virginia.
It is two miles from the town of Thomas, home of The Purple Fiddle, and eight miles from all of the outdoor activities in Canaan Valley. Whether you are staying with us or just dropping by, relax by the fireplace in our lobby with a rejuvenating cocktail or a French press coffee. The first one's on us for all motel guests 21 or older.

The Billy Bar and Lounge loves cocktails! Order your favorite or let one of our bartenders surprise you with a hit from their repetoire. Tuck in and enjoy it in our mid-century lounge with its retro fireplace or out in the courtyard in the warmer months. Not much for booze? That's OK, our bartenders can whip you up a mocktail with one of our house made fruit shrubs.

- you needed to go into a crowded bar to check in and there was not a mask in sight
- very easy to hear noise from room next door
- not very comfortable beds
Overall, it was a pleasant (but not very comfortable) place to stay in a beautiful place.

Absolutely loved this place. Decor is so cute especially inside the bar/lounge area. Owners are very nice.
We found this place just driving by ... making a road trip
To Blackwater falls. Go see Douglas Falls definitely won't be disappointed. The motel also had a lot of vegetarian options but the kitchen wasn't open so we would love to try that next time. MUST STAY HERE!

By far the best local place for foodies. Although the menu spans a variety of cuisines, they were all executed well. The owner is passionate about her food. I ordered 6 different dishes and enjoyed every one of them. After each bite I kept thinking "I can't believe I'm enjoying 'big city' food in the tiny town of Davis, WV!" Safe to say the Billy Motel greatly exceeded my expectations of what I expected to find in this area.

This place is okay. The decor is awesome and it's right next to the entrance of Blackwater Falls State Park, but I'd say those are all of its pros. We stayed for one night in October. Check-in was easy at the bar, and we got two free drink tokens. The room was clean and I liked that the TV is Chromecast enabled. Everything started out great. When we returned in the evening from our sightseeing, we wanted to enjoy some drinks in the gorgeous lobby area with the fireplace. Alas, it was not meant to be, because although nobody was there and it was freezing cold outside, you had to rent the

While shopping around for a place to stay near Thomas, WV I came across the Billy Motel. This motel fit my vibe to a T! Excellent customer service, comfortable bed, clean rooms/bath, Chromecast enabled TV's and 2 free drinks from the bar. They had a nice small bier garden where you could be comfortable with social distancing while enjoying the lovely West Virginia fall weather. Will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

The Billy Motel is an excellent play to stay overnight and their management are truly wonderful and accommodating. There was someone smoking in an adjoining room and I notified them. The management immediately handled the situation, let them know how inappropriate their actions were, and apologized to me for having to deal with them. They corrected the situation appropriately and very well. I'll continue coming back here many more times in the future.

Great little retro style motel with an awesome funky little bar with an outside sitting area as well just steps away from your room. The owner Joy is a great laid back person and the bartender is a perfect fit for this venue. You get two chips for drinks when you get your room. The room was very comfortable. Decor is late 60's early 70's. The walls are a little thin but fresh ear plugs are on the nightstand. No cable tv but it's compatible to stream from your social media which is a forward thinking idea. Good WiFi hookup. The bed slept great. Quick hot water for a very good shower

We stayed here for two nights, and our overall experience was good. Pros: free drink token upon check-in, cute bar steps away from room, reasonable price for convenient, comfortable lodging near other attractions, and adorable retro decor. Cons: A.C. Unit in the room was very loud/made strange noises, no cable(but can connect smart tv to your personal media platforms of choice), no refrigerator/microwave in room, and thin walls provided little buffer for outside noise. It was a cute place to stay for the experience, but we'd probably choose some where else next time.

We did not stay at the Motel but stopped in, not once, but twice to enjoy the retro bar, lounge, great conversation & delicious cocktails. This is a diamond in the rough. Do not miss this treat when you are enjoying the art scene in Thomas, the falls at Blackwater or hiking the trails in the area. We will be back, and will stay at the motel this time.

The husband and I were headed to Morgantown and on our way we wanted to explore and check out West Virginia a bit more. The husband searched for an area that had a bit of hiking and a few restaurants and breweries to explore, which is how we happened upon Davis. Davis was a perfect spot and there is a ton of stuff to do, explore and enjoy. To find a nice place to stay he used Google Maps then checked reviews on Yelp.
The Billy was amazing. A very clean and comfortable room that had a super comfortable bed! Being close to the road we were a bit concerned about

This motel was small and sweet!!! Very clean and modern with a homey feeling. Upon check in you receive 2 free alcohol drink tokens in their bar which the bar was the customer service desk. Just a very homey feeling with great people working. In the morning they make you French press coffee and have a variety of breakfast bars and fresh fruit at no addition charge. This place was well worth the $101 for the night and would come back anytime.

Great interior accommodations for the rooms that are very comfortable. Their lobby is chic and fun with very helpful and fun staff. The owners really know what they are doing here and have renovated an old motel into a chic and fun place to stay. I had a really good night's stay here and woke refreshed and ready for the next day in beautiful Canaan Valley!

We loved this place. You are welcomed with a cocktail, and can sip it by their adorable fireplace or hang by the bar and chat with the bartender. Enjoy the smells of someone making a shrub syrup. Get a freshly made French press coffee. Read one of the books in the lounge. Or get some work done, sipping a cocktail like Don Draper.
Then, when you're tired, retire to a comfortable and gorgeous room. The beds are perfect. The duvets are warm. And you can chromecast some Netflix to the TV in your room.
All for an affordable price. What more does anyone need?
