Barb carries the coolest glasses in town. With every pair I have purchased I get so many compliments and people will stop me in a store and ask where I got them. Prices are the best in town. Barb also provides excellent customer service and so accommodating.

The owner is kind and patient. My glasses purchasing experience was easy and comfortable. Compared to other places, the lenses are SO MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE!!!! If you want to support local, this is the place to go.

I have tried (3) of the other major optical centers here and Wausau and all three of them ended up being disappointments either in service, delivery, pricing (or all of the above). Downtown Optical not only provides wonderful personalized service, the pricing and delivery is great as well. I needed a frame repair and received service even after closing time on a Saturday as the owner was leaving for the day, it does not get any better than that! Need something special? If they do not either have the product or the answer they will go out of their way to obtain it for you. Highly recommended!

Best service you can get anywhere. Prices arent outrageous like other eye places, Barb takes her time with each patient. She does not rush you into making a decision.
