Established in 1987, Green Earth Plastic Recycling has worked to develop financially viable uses for plastic waste. We have produced plastic resins that can be used for a variety of different applications. At our facility in Joliet, IL, we produce more than 12 million pounds of recycled plastic each year. One of the products that we at Green Earth Plastic Recycling produce and sell is a LDPE Repro material that is gray in color. One of the materials that we work with at Green Earth Plastic Recycling is plastic number 2 HDPE. This plastic is a high density polyethylene or HDPE. Most detergent bottles, milk jugs, juice bottles, butter tubs, and toiletries bottles are made of this material. While some recycling companies can only work with post industrial material, we at Green Earth are diversified and can use both post industrial and post consumer material.
