The initial evaluation takes place during your first session and is 45-50 minutes of face-to-face time. In this session, background information and history are gathered, questions/concerns prompting evaluation are discussed, and a plan is made for moving forward. Psychological assessment (also referred to as "testing") is a time-limited service designed to provide clarification or answer specific questions about areas of concern.
Testing typically takes place over one to four sessions after the initial evaluation session(s). Dr. Daniel sees children, adolescents, and some young adults for therapy to address a variety of concerns. Building a solid therapeutic relationship is an important part of this process, and Dr. Daniel will work collaboratively to build this relationship over time.
