The Sign Place is fully licensed and insured, and has been family owned and operated, right here in San Luis Obispo, since it's founding in 1989. Over the years, we have partnered with thousands of companies and institutions, large and small, to develop professional signage of all varieties. Sign making has come a long way from the days of hand carving and painting.

The Sign Place did amazing work for both of my grooming salons! Communication was easily handled through phone calls and email, and everyone I spoke to was very professional and pleasant to talk to! I recently opened Buttercup Beauty Salon in San Luis Obispo Ca and the Sign Place made the front sign and vinyl decals and they did an incredible job! I recently requested the help from the staff at The Sign Place in San Luis Obispo to make my 2019 Subaru Outback, white...like 100's of others on the road, different. I had seen some graphics on one earlier this year but since I live near the ocean, I wanted something that I love...the beach. They worked with me in designing some graphics for the sides of my car and we came up with some waves. For me, perfect. Not overdone, yet simple and different. Everyone I worked with was professional and since I remembered working with them for our fleet of trucks when we owned our plastering company

I opened up an office in SLO and needed building signage as well as a "picture" and name for our front business door. The Sign place took my basic idea and came back with great results. I was most impressed by the mock up that they sent me by email. They went out and took pictures of where the signage was going to go so that I could see what the mock up would like on the actual building and front door. Quick, dependable and quality work. I recommend their services 100%.
