Stayed in the bunkhouse with my church retreat and we loved it! House was super clean (minus the moldy towels in a kitchen drawer, but we didn't have to use any so didn't bother us). Julie was really easy to work with and was very kind! The camp ground is great to walk around and has some cool hiking in the area. I do wish the one area of bunkbeds actually had walls vs (privacy) curtains so you could escape any noise downstairs to sleep, but over all it was great and we would definitely stay again!

This was the first time we stayed at a place like this and I was very disappointed and will never return here. The owners were very nosy and kept asking me questions about my kids (trying to get more money) and I felt like I was being stalked. The lake was not fishable because the swimming and all was one. Didn’t want to hook a kid. And u couldn’t even see the path to get down to the lake at night. U have to pay to take a freaking shower! The people next to us had over three vehicles and more than 8 adults there and they were loud we had to go in our camper (get charged 30.00. For each adult

Julia and her husband were wonderful hosts! Prompt communication over the phone and email. Made the whole process of booking the Lake Hill Bunkhouse very easy. Great walking trails in the area and the bunk house was a great place for us to host our retreat. Kitchen was nicely stocked and amenities were clean.

May not be as spectacular and shiny as another campground might be, but it is quiet, peaceful and our view is exactly what I hoped for and needed. Owner is very friendly and works really hard to keep the place looking good. Have not utilized the lake so will not review that. I WILL come back to this campground during my visits back home. >^..^<

Let's start at the beginning. We get there and once signed in we take a very steep mostly mud road up to our spot. We have a camper and were camping with another RV. Our spots were so close together that no one in the area could get out without help from another to keep from hurting themselves.. the owners cant help that it rained all weekend, BUT they can help that their was absolutely no gravel down. Our campsite was nothing but huge mud puddles. Their wasnt enough grass around the lots or gravel to keep from slipping in the mud. The bugs were horrible (I'm assuming from the standing water).

Excellent - the 'bunkhouse' worked really well for our large group. Very clean! The kitchen was super - well supplied with appliances (large & small), the dining room was good size for the large group, and the back decks were nice for morning/evening times with everyone. The owners were very accommodating. Bath house also very clean and well maintained. Our kids really enjoyed the play ground too. "5 Stars" !

A campground is not about luxury. It is about being clean, quiet, and run by caring owners. Lake Hill hit all of the marks for me. I just spent 5 nights in the Bunkhouse with a group of 18 volunteers from South Carolina. Julie and Paul (the owners) were great hosts who wanted to make sure we had what we needed. The grounds were well taken care of, the bathhouse was clean, and it was always peaceful. Being close to the Tri-County Triangle Trail for a daily run/walk was an added bonus. Please ignore the negative reviews and give it a try for yourself. My group is looking forward to being back at
