Jetta Hall, owner of A Vita, is the badass boss lady of the shop. She goes above and beyond to make A Vita stand out, and to make all of our clients feel like family. Jetta can tattoo anything from flowers to animals, blackwork or color. In the future, she's excited to explore more neo-traditional and traditional work with elements of illustration.
We have a $60 Minimum and each artist prices by the size, detail and placement of the piece. You can email us for a ballpark price or make a consultation appointment for a more exact price. 2. Deposits will be a minimum of $60.00 and will come off of your balance when the tattoo is finished. To finalize your booking, please Venmo @Avitatattoo a $60 nonrefundable deposit, including your artist name, appointment date and time in the subject.
5. Apply a VERY thin layer on antibiotic ointment, for example A&D, Redemption Aftercare, H2Ocean 3 times a day. If ointment looks "wet" or "greasy" pat dry with a paper towel. DO NOT overuse ointments. After three days switch to a fragrance free hand lotion, for example Cetaphil, , Lubriderm. Apply 3-4 times a day for seven days Or continue with the use of your Redemption Aftercare.
A Vita Tattoo will only carries body jewelry that is best for your body and healing. All jewelry is internally threaded or press-fit jewelry and is polished to a mirror finish. We only use Surgical Steel that is ASTM F138 compliant, Titanium (Ti6Al4V ELI) that is ASTM F136 or ASTM F67 compliant, Solid 14 karat (nickel and cadmium free) yellow, white, or rose gold as an option.

After having a bad experience here about 4 years ago I decided to give them a second chance and I went in to get both my nostrils pierced about 4-5 months ago. Not only did they come out wildly uneven but they were pierced at completely different angles. I got pierced by Jetta, she marked the first nostril before piercing but when it came to piercing the other one, she had another employee double check the placement of the marker as well as myself. We both agreed that it needed to be moved up more but instead of marking the new placement of the nostril piercing, she said she could eyeball it. I

Went here to get a piercing done yesterday and the quality and value of the work done was amazing! I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Didn't quite catch the name of who did my piercing (I think it was Jetta?) but they did an excellent job! Everything in the shop was clean, equipment was shown to me in sterile packaging, and the work was done very quick and professionally (hurt a little and was sore right after, but that was expected). Will plan to return for any future piercing or tattoo needs. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Thanks so much!!!

One of my family members recommended me to come here. we both got matching tattoos that had just one word and probably took about 10-15 minutes top to do. Looked ok at first, but now that it is healing it looks very scratchy and rushed. And they don’t even match. One of her letters connect and one of mine don’t. Didn’t get told how to take care of it afterwards either. Most i can say is that they are clean which is why i’ll give them 2 stars. Other than that i’ll have to find somewhere else to get my tattoos.

My boyfriend and I got piercings here by Jetta recently. She was so professional and nice and she answered every single question we had. Jetta took really good care of me while I was getting my piercing done and she was incredibly fast and professional when I ended up passing out from the adrenaline lol. And as for the atmosphere of the place, it was incredibly welcoming. Overall, a great place especially for first timers and would recommend to a friend.

I am late getting this review done so here it finally is. I really had a couple very good experiences with A Vita Tattoo and Piercing. JOCELYN did my nostril piercing on March 4th of this year. She knew I was a little nervous but she was so reassuring and so professional. It was busy in the studio but she took her time with me ( I ask a lot of questions) and didn't make me feel rushed. I went back tonight to change my piercing to another nose post. JAZZ removed the original corkscrew post as I was afraid to do it myself and put in a new post. Highly recommend A Vita! Jetta is amazing! She's creative and very skilled at her craft. I went thinking I wanted a tattoo covered but Jetta was able to enhance and incorporate it into another design! I couldn't be more pleased with the tattoo that she did on my back! I am African-American and the colors she used are beautiful! I am exceptionally pleased!!

Super impressed. The shop is extremely clean and the atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. The staff are all friendly, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. They know their stuff 100%, you’re in good hands here. I got piercings here today, and it could not have gone better. I was comfortable, it was done well, and I received all the information I needed.

SO happy that this shop was recommended to me! I went with my friend and her daughter for piercings and from the second I walked in the door I felt welcomed and comfortable! Jazz did our nose piercings and Jetta helped when my friends daughter got her ears pierced. I've been going to Avita tattoo for a few years now. It's a great place with many talented tattoo artists. I tell them what I'm looking to get done, they draw up an idea for me and then they choose which artist would be best for my design! I've gotten work done by 3 different tattoo artists there and love all the pieces they've done for me! Avita rocks and they're not fake A** people trying to take your money, they actually care about there work and take it very serious !

Got my eyebrow pierced there. She made the holes way too close together so all my jewelry hung out way past my eyebrow. I had to let it close up and go to Fast Lane Tattoo to get my other brow done.
Before I realized she had screwed up my piercing, I went to get a little tattoo. After waiting 15 minutes past my appointment time, I got a tattoo that needed to be touched up by my regular tattooist at Fast Lane, from whom I'll never stray again.

John and Jetta are some of the best tattooers in the Albany area! They are so sweet, professional, and talented. I have been tattooed and pierced by Jetta many times and I will always go to her even though I've since moved away. Whenever I'm in town, I'll be getting some work done!
