Dennis is a life long naturalist who has been fortunate enough to work in many aspects of landscaping. Early in his career, Dennis was fortunate enough to work at a Walnut Creek retail nursery. This provided an environment where he learned about the many plants, soils, and complexities of landscapes.
He developed an understanding of how the Bay Area's varied microclimates could impact each of these. In 1981, the nursery closed but Dennis had created some strong customer relationships. He began doing landscape maintenance for many of these clients. Many of these individuals then sought Dennis's assistance in building beautiful, complex landscapes.

My wife and I chose Dennis to design our new backyard. From first to last, he did a fantastic job. He started out by listening carefully to what we wanted, then he converted our general concept into a specific design. This went through several drafts, getting better and more refined with each draft. Dennis was prompt, diligent and creative. His design was great!
Dennis then provided critical assistance with the construction phase of the project, which involved extensive "hardscape" construction as well as landscaping. He introduced us to 3 contractors who each had a good track record on Dennis

Don't be disillusioned by the pictures on their website! Had plans drawn up by Dennis, did multiple walk arounds tweaking the plan, attained financing to do the major overhaul to our yard. This started in July, fast forward to Dec, we were still waiting for him to align the workers to actually start the work. Multiple attempts on our part reaching out requesting just wanting possible dates, progress etc...never heard back from them. Asked them directly if there's a problem? "is it your booked sched? is it the job?" This was dec when we were finally more direct in asking some of the questions as
