My photography career has taken me on a 20 year marvelous journey from a graduate at The Corcoran Gallery of Art in Photography, to a 5 year stint as an Assistant Photographer for Richard Nowitz, a famous National Geographic photographer, to opening my own photography studio in Frederick, MD. For the National Geographic, I shot some aerial photos that were used in a book about our nation's capital.
As a photojournalist for Greenpeace, I was responsible for photographing toxic environments for several ad campaigns. Another assignment took me to the Badlands of South Dakota where I lived among the Sioux Indians. While there I developed a series of photographs telling a story of these proud people, their rich culture and how the modern world has impacted their survival.

Our wedding photos were more artistic, beautiful, and unique than we could have possibly hoped for. The most under-rated and perhaps brilliant photographer within the D.C. Metropolitan area. We had so much fun at our wedding and with Steve, and we have phenomenal pictures to prove it! Steve and his second shooter did a fantastic job on our wedding.
Commercial Photography pricing. Commercial photographer includes products, head shots, industrial, food, real estate, and fitness. Over 20 years professional photography experience. Commercial photography pricing varies by job but typically costs $250 an hour with a two hour minimum. Head shots cost $50.00 each when shot in my photography studio in groups of at least 5 or more.
All wedding clients get engagements at a reduced fee. If I shoot your engagements for the full fee and you decide to hire me to shoot your wedding, you will get a credit of $200 from your wedding photography package. If you are already a wedding client $300 for engagement session.

When I Googled "gourmet food photographer in Frederick MD", Whysall Photography was the first to pop up. I read through Steve's website and thought this guy sounds too good to be true. But I took my chances and gave him a call to see if he would take photographs of my cheesecakes for my small start up business. We spoke a few minutes on the phone. He was kind and accommodating and instantly I felt confident he was the guy for the job. We met that same week to discuss my vision. He made me and my fiance so comfortable during both a proposal and an engagement session, and did whatever possible to make sure we got the best product. I have worked with Steve in formal and informal settings. While working in informal settings, he is fun and dynamic. I found that informal environments allow him to take liberty with his photographs which create fun, different and creative perspectives. While working with Steve in a formal setting, his degree of professionalism is unmatched. His use of lights, props, and positioning of models combine to achieve peerless results.

My fiance and I recently hired Steve to do our wedding and engagement photography and are very happy with our decision. We just got our engagement pictures back recently with only about one week turnover time (during the thanksgiving holiday). All of our pictures turned out amazing. He is an expert at his craft and his prices are of great value. You won't get better for your money.

Steve is such an excellent photographer!! He was willing to travel all the way up to NJ with his assistant to shoot my wedding. That speaks volumes right there! He and Rachel bent over backwards for us to make sure everything was perfect. I can imagine it has to be tough trying to make sure you catch everything you think the bride and groom would want, and they did exactly that. The pictures came out amazing!! I would recommend Steve to any and all brides looking for a photographer that really knows his profession and is so easy to work with! Thank you so much Steve and Rachel!!
