Andrew's Greenhouse is a third generation family farm owned by Andy and Jacqui Cowles that now specializes in the propagation and retail sale of a wide variety of perennials, annuals, vegetables and herbs. The garden center is located on 150 acres in picturesque South Amherst, MA. The farm was established in 1856 and the present barn built in 1871.

The Cowles family bought the farm in 1920 and over the years has raised various crops, including vegetables, strawberries and hay. In the past, dairy cows and beef cattle were raised on the farm. Absolutely abysmal customer service. I came to buy plants and flowers and two employees told me that they don't have time to answer questions about any of the plants they sell. Really unbelievable. I will not be going back to this place. Awful, awful, awful.

Thank you Andrews Nursery, Amherst, MA. Your hearts are soo big. They have plants, beautiful containers, even potting soil on sale. There is a lock box for “The Honor System”. My husband and I went there on Easter Sunday afternoon. Customers very friendly, polite and conscious of social distancing. It made for a nice afternoon for us. Not as many varieties as usual, but always a good time. The staff is always friendly, and helpful. The colors of the different flowers is just amazing.

This is simply the happiest place to be. Living so close means I get to feed myself with their beautiful plants AND take in that lovely view. Couldn't ask for a better neighborhood garden spot. And the staff...EXCELLENCE ACROSS THE BOARD.

I love this place. Family run and it shows. Great perennials and vegetable starts for the garden.
They grew English cucumbers for me because l asked, yay! Very helpful and pleasant staff.

Interesting selection, local business that brings in standards as well as "trendy" plants. If you miss Blue Meadow Farm, well, there was nothing else like it, but Andrews does help ease that pain.

A Lovely Nursery that offers more then just plants and vegetables. Nice assortment of Outdoor Pots, Trellises, Smaller Statuary and a gardener's gift shop. Included in the gift shop are linens, outdoor metal ornamental stakes, gardening hats, unique bird houses and many other unique gift items. Highly recommend stopping by to enjoy the setting and beautiful choices of products.

A very extensive & tasteful selection of plants, pots and very unique gift items! I love roaming the vast greenhouses discovering all different types of amazing plants. One of my favorite garden stores for sure!

This is a great mid size garden center. It has a great gift shop with many unique items. They have a nice selection of planters of all sizes and materials: clay, glazed, etc. Definitely worth a drive to check it out. An employee from Hadley Garden Center actually sent me to Andrew's Greenhouse for an item that Hadley GC didn't have. Both places are great.

A must stop! Andrew's is by far the best spot in the valley for plants! Huge selection and a lot of unusual types. Plants are healthy and the greenhouse is well organized. The staff are all very friendly and happy to answer questions.

A very nice selection of plants and pots in a convenient location! The plants I purchased were well taken care of and in excellent condition. I was impressed with the attention that the staff clearly puts in to maintaining the merchandise. I nervously purchased a lavender plant for indoor growing and despite being indoors the plant is incredibly robust and has continued to thrive (with the help of a grow lamp of course).
