I have been keeping my own spiritual practice in San Francisco, CA for over fifteen years, learning to live creatively every day and bring self-love to every moment. REIKI is the Life Force Energy that flows through all living things. This healing modality treats the whole person--mind, body and spirit--and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well being. The practitioner uses a gentle touch technique that works by raising the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body.
Spiritual healing techniques known as shamanism are ancient healing practices common to indigenous cultures around the world. A shamanic healer works by journeying to non-ordinary reality to ask the assistance of helping spirits in healing a person's spirit or soul. These spirits may include power animals, spirit guides, teachers or even ancestors.
Sound Healing is an ancient healing form existing for many centuries dating back to Native Cultures around the world. This modality uses sound waves and vibrations to bring balance to mind, body and spirit. The sound waves shift our brainwave frequencies from a beta state of normal awareness to an alpha state of relaxation and mediation.
I am available for one on one classes. I am also available to come to an existing group. Workshops and ceremonies below can also be formatted to meet group needs as a one-day workshop. A new offering for individuals, the 'Artist Way' 12 week course by Julia Cameron where I give weekly one on one guidance.
The greatest gift that Shekhina has given me is the understanding that the world is full of joy. She has helped me find my true voice, given me clarity to find love in everything (even the things I don't recognize), encouraged me to seek out my own personal power, and inspired me to believe in the peace that I want to make in the world.

I saw Margaretta many years back, in 2010 or 2011. I am an energy worker myself but there were issues relating to my own childhood that I needed help with healing. After much searching, I found Margaretta's healing practice in SF and made an appointment to see her. It was my first time with her, so I had to fill out a form. I could never say enough great things about working with Shekhina! She's honestly been such a bright light at the end of the tunnel in what sometimes feels like endless darkness. I was referred to Shekhina by my acupuncturist and I am so grateful of that because she has been integral in my growth and healing over the past year. There are not enough words to describe how much Shekhina has enlightened me. In my journey of healing I have found my higher self - the Goddess within me with the help of Shekhina. After several sessions trying to work with Shekhina, I finally had enough... I realize that she is blunt and that is part of her way of "helping" you but this time really went too far and I am not going to pay good money to be treated like that, under the guise of "help". Her take on my situation was not only inaccurate but just downright rude. If you are in a sensitive spot and looking for restorative healing with real COMPASSION I would suggest you look elsewhere.

I cant speak highly enough of Shekhina and look forward to every session I have with her. She has helped me to shift old patterns that I didn't even realize existed and has helped to transform the way I see myself and the people in my life. I encountered Shekhina after a year (perhaps years) seeking healing through traditional western means, seeking out the most experienced and respected therapists I could find, haha. I reached out to Shekhina for a Reiki healing session not knowing much about Reiki and unsure of what I hoped I would get out of the session. All I knew was that I was numb towards the beauty of life and I had started to make the state of unhappiness my new normal - I needed help.

Shekhina has transformed the way I see myself and interact with others. She has helped me to heal my past and work to create a loving future. She has been my guide on a journey to learn to love myself and discover my passions. Shekhina is truly a wise goddess. I have worked with many practitioners and therapists, but Shekhina's methods helped me to own some very real feelings I had not given voice to. It's a beautiful life changing experience working one on one with Shekhina over the last few months. She is a very powerful healer and her reiki sessions can feel like six months of therapy in one sitting. I give the highest recommendation for working with her if you are seeking energy work and are ready to face your challenges. At the end of the day you have to be ready to do the self work to really get the value out of Reiki, but I find Shekhina's style to be so compassionate and caring and honest that it really helps. There comes a point in your life where you have to 'deal with your sh*t' (as I like to say) if you want to be truly capable of love, especially self love. This comes at different times for everyone, and many don't ever have the courage or desire to look that deeply at their lives to truly change for the better. As Shekhina says, though, 'we do the best we can with what we have at the moment'. I am so thankful to Shekhina because the best I have now is so much better than the best I ever had before working with her.

This woman seriously changed my life and helped me to dig myself out of a depression that was lifelong. I consider her to be my spiritual mother. She is a source of great support, tough love when needed, sweet love when needed. She has helped me survive and grow through so many life transitions. The Universe is a powerful thing. I recall thinking that I'd like to find a therapist that was grounded in spirituality and in San Francisco.
