Services
Teeth have a support system comprised of bone surrounded by hard and soft tissue to hold teeth firmly in place. Gum disease damages the tooth support, causes teeth to loosen, and when not treated, leads to tooth loss. Recent studies by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention estimate that nearly 1 out of every 2 individuals in the United States has some form of gum disease.
Dr. Silverstein graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Having an interest in health promotion/disease prevention, he concurrently obtained a Master degree the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. He also served as President to his class all four years during training.
We make sure all our new patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of. During your first visit, Dr. Silverstein will review your medical and dental history as well as referral reason (if applicable). For diagnosis, Dr. Silverstein will examine your teeth and gums. X-rays of your mouth may be necessary.
We appreciative your trust in the treatment of your patients at our practice. We will communicate with your practice to ensure your patients care is provide in conjunction with your restorative treatment recommendations. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root made of a biocompatible material. It is placed in the jawbone and used to anchor a crown, cap, bridge, or denture. Dental implants look, act and feel like natural teeth. Implants will not decay and are the strongest and longest-lasting replacement for missing teeth.

I feel very lucky to have been referred to Dr. Silverstein. He and his staff took the time to explain all parts of the dental procedure to me and made sure that I understood everything before it was done. The atmosphere was comfortable and made the entire experience pleasant. Dr. Silverstein and every member of his team give a level of professionalism and understanding that really shows that they care about their patients. I would recommend their services to anyone who is in need of a periodontist.

I have never been to such a well organized Periodontal office. The staff is caring professional, courteous and helpful. The office is super clean and all safety requirements are in place. Doctor Silverstein is a true professional and so knowledgeable. He takes the fear out of all the procedures by explaining exactly what to expect as he is doing it. Thank you for taking such good care of me and for having a painless pleasant experience. I highly recommend doctor Silverstein and his staff for all your Periodontal needs.

Dr. Silverstein was great! He was able to diagnose the cause of my gum pain and provide a solution. I was fortunate enough to fit in surgery the same day and about 2 weeks later I was and running again. Dr. Silverstein also called me during the week to made sure I was doing okay. I would highly recommend him!

My experience with Dr Silverstein was excellent being afraid of going to the dentist he was very understanding and gentle when pulling my tooth. He's very concerned about his paitent being comfortable and even followed up with a phone call. Very friendly staff as well and everything is explained to you. Highly recommended!!!

I would recommend Dr Silverstein and his staff to anyone. Finding them turned out to be such a blessing! After years of not seeing a dentist in fear of hearing the truth about my poor oral hygiene and nightmares about losing my teeth, I contacted their office. The staff treated me with such compassion. Dr. Silverstein came up with a plan for my treatment. Im now on my way to healthy gums and teeth. Dr. Silverstein is great! I had my first gum graft with him last month and am pleased with the experience! Dr. Silverstein made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The procedure was easy and the recovery wasn't too bad at all. He even called me afterwards to check in and see how I was doing. I would recommend Dr. Silverstein if you are looking for a kind and professional periodontist!
