Electrolysis is a method of permanently removing hairs individually from the face or body. Today's medical electrolysis devices destroy the growth center of the hair. It is the only FDA-approved method of permanent hair removal. It works on all colors and coarseness of hair and skin. We specialize in the blend method.
This technique combines thermolysis (heat) and galvanic (electric) energy which causes lye to be created in the hair follicle. This causes the hair follicle to decompose, which makes the hair removal permanent. If you'd like to find out more about permanent hair removal in Oakland, come visit me for a free consultation!

I attribute my bed side manner to working closely with patients as a Registered Dental Assistant for about 15 years. After leaving the dental field and trying my hand in a few different industries, I realized I was lacking the fulfillment that helping people had once given me. I had an epiphany during a session with my electrologist.
If you are currently shaving, stop shaving the area you wish to treat about 2 - 4 days before your appointment. The hair you wish to be treated must be long enough for the electrologist to tweeze. Stress and anxiety can heighten your sensitivity. Get a good night's sleep the night before your appointment, take a deep breath and relax.
Laser hair removal is a long-term hair reduction method that lasts for about 2 years on average. Although up to 90% hair growth reduction is possible, it could also be low as 45%. A metal probe is inserted into the skin until it reaches the follicle. Through this metal probe that looks like a tiny needle, electricity/heat is sent into the follicle in order to permanently destroy it.
Your first visit begins with a consultation. We discuss treatment options, as well as the area to be treated. We then tailor an individual plan that is best for you. We also discuss, in detail, the process of electrolysis and any individual issues that could be related to excess hair growth. This consultation is brief and informative.
Throughout a woman's life, hormones fluctuate which can cause hair growth that is unexpected. Hormonal conditions and changes account for numerous other problems in addition to unwanted hair. Its cause may be related to your genetic makeup, an underlying medical condition, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), pregnancy, menopause, puberty or medications.

Best Electrolysis in East Bay! Prices are extremely affordable, easy booking system, and lots of appointment times. I have met very few people who get as much joy and satisfaction in their job as Nancy does hers. Nancy is attentive, caring, and a lot of fun to chat with, which makes long appointments go past in a breeze. She is extremely professional and does her job very well. Definitely give her a try! The prices are comparable to getting regular waxes except hair is gone forever!

I was pleased to find Nancy who uses a blend method of electrolysis which seems more gentle to the face than pure thermolysis. Although a fairly recent graduate, Nancy seemed knowledgeable and competent. For the first 3-4 times I used her services, I was quite pleased. Her pricing of $50 for 15 minutes seemed fair. However, recently she raised her prices without clearly warning me or telling me the exact amount of her increase. In addition, and more significantly, Nancy does not always behave in a professional manner. Unfortunately, she can get highly reactive and inappropriately emotional and

Attention Oakland!!! Why keep shaving, waxing, and plucking? When you can go to Permanance where the electrolysist and owner, Nance, can remove it for you forever. She is a caring pro in her field and enjoyable to converse with. She walked me through the process until I felt comfortable. Also, she knew where I was coming from as she wanted me to look and feel my best. I adore her office too, so soothing and professional, and with the latest equipment. Thank you Nance!

I’ve been going to Nancy for permanent hair removal for the last year or so (since June 2018). She has gone above and beyond what I expected of an electrologist to do. I was given a date for surgery and needed to have the hair in that location permanently removed, however, there wasn’t much time. Nancy did not sugar coat that we might not be able to clear all the hair away within the time period. Though (spoiler) she managed it, by offering me as much time as she could; even a couple three-hour sessions.
Ever since my consultation with Nancy she has made me feel comfortable and has always

I was extremely pleased to find Nancy who uses a blend method of electrolysis which is much more gentle to the face causing none of the scary reactions that pure thermolysis can cause. Nancy is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and competent. She immediately puts you at ease with her caring manner and her knowledge of her profession. Since I am getting treated on my face it was important to me to find someone who is careful and able to determine just the right amount of current to minimize any reactions. It was also important to have someone who knows what she is doing, is caring, and

Nancy honestly changed my life! I was going to another electrologist before I met Nancy, and I was left with horrible reactions post-treatment. That electrologist always told me that it was normal... but in between appointments, when the reactions would settle, I noticed I had developed some pretty dark scarring. I was horrified. No one wants to swap hair for scarring! Out of fear, I quit the process all together for several months to avoid irreversible damage like pitting (which can happen if you don't see the right electrologist!). Eventually, I decided to try my luck again so I sat down
