Rockville Nursing Home first opened its doors to the community in 1977. Since then, we have been providing comprehensive short and long term care, on a non-profit basis, to people living in the greater Baltimore - Washington area. With only 100 residents, Rockville Nursing Home's small home atmosphere fosters close relationships among residents, families and staff.
Our staff members provide professional care with compassion and respect for the dignity of each resident. RNH proudly maintains one of the highest nursing staff to resident ratios in the area, which results in prompt and courteous attention. Services
For two and a half years, visiting Sue was the highlight of my week. Walking through the doors of a nursing home can often dampen one's spirits, but at Rockville, I never felt that. By contrast, it is a welcoming, lively place where I felt Sue was given the most compassionate care possible. The people at Rockville Nursing truly made a home for Sue.
Rockville Nursing Home is proud to offer inpatient rehabilitation services through our partnership with Aegis Therapies. Our physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists will work together as a team to help patients achieve the highest level of functional skills possible.
Rockville Nursing Home organizes programs to meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents. Our monthly calendar is filled with daily activities which are designed to challenge, entertain, and provide new opportunities. In addition to regular staff, our large group of volunteers provide assistance with programming, friendly visiting, meal service, and individual requests.
As one of the first not-for-profit Health Care Institutions of its kind in Montgomery County, Maryland, Rockville Nursing Home has enjoyed a rich history of philanthropy since opening its doors in 1977. Thanks to the vision, energy and commitment of our Board of Governors and Employees, RNH continues to celebrate unparalleled success in providing the highest quality senior care possible year in year out.
Volunteers: Most of our volunteers work directly with residents; assisting with arts & crafts, gardening, parties, games, fitness activities, musical performances, educational talks, and other group programs. One to one and small group interactions focused on reminiscing, trivia, board games, reading, and sensory stimulation may also be available.

Unfortunately this review has far less to do with the care given at the nursing home and more to do with the staff outside of their work. I live in the neighborhood surrounding that area many children live on those streets. Every day these drivers are flying down our roads to the nursing home. We know who they are because they're the same cars. One almost crashed into my car this morning. Many of my neighbors already brought this to their attention. And they don't seem to do enough about it. It's getting to the point where today when I left my driveway two different cars going to the nursing home

My mother recently spent several weeks at this facility following hip replacement surgery. I cannot say enough good things about the physical therapist, J.P., who invariably has a smile on his face and is upbeat and professional in spite of his challenging workload. My mom is a retired nurse practitioner and therefore a very informed "consumer" of healthcare. She repeatedly remarked on how he never rushed through a session and always gave her his full attention. He is truly making a difference in these very vulnerable patients' lives. I should add that the entire staff is very kind.

I m gracefully with all the marvelous nurses who assisted my husband with dedication , patient and love every day. He got an excellent recovery because of the hard work of the therapist team they encourage him to reach his goals. Thank you so much to this center and y really recommended for your loved ones .

My mom is here as I give this review..I am NOT impressed at all..There is no communication for care plans, the visiting hours are ridiculous, there are constant phone issues, her phone has been replaced 3 times, she will call for assistance and sit in a wet bed for hours, asking for someone to call me back, never happens..I've had to bring her items like a&d ointment, which they should have, they've lost her clothes and given her other peoples clothes. It's been unreal. Unfortunately we weren't given a choice when she left the hospital, but knowing what I know now, I wouldn't recommend this place

I had the opportunity to tour this facility and was impressed by the way I was received. The building was clean and the staff were so friendly. All the residents I saw were neat and and well dressed. Some ate Chinese food and others sang along to Frank Sinatra. I had a great time and I know my grandmom would feel right at home at Sterlingcare Rockville.

I want to thank Ogechi the best charge nurse in the world!! All the staff here are extremely dedicated to taking care of all the residents and their needs. Jp and the therapy team are amazing. Their care and assistance has got me back on my feet. I also want to thank the administrator for being so involved and hands on.

Watch out for this place. They have their own protocol for medicine and will over rule your doctor. This meant a trip to the hospital for my brother. He was fine for at least 7 years with no incident until he came. Here. No meds on the first evening and the next morning. Without telling the family they chose to give the medication when and how they wanted.

I would never choose to go here. We chose this place for my father because they were small and promised good communication and care. We had to call and call and email repeatedly to get any information. On a regular basis we would call and the phone would ring and ring at the nurses station. My father was often left in bed for 16+ hours and he was there to rehab needing help to actually get up. There were 2 specific occasions that staff left my father soiled for extended periods of time. Getting any help to use either bedpan or bathroom was a challenge. We hired a private aid for some hours so my
