Schmucker Lumber, Inc. was started back in 1987, by Bryan and Becky as a retail specialty lumber business where anyone could come in and buy small or large quantities of American hardwoods at fair prices. In the beginning we offered only the standard domestics like red oak, white oak, cherry, ash, maple, walnut and hickory.
At Schmucker Lumber and Metal, we realize your buildings require individual and unique attention. We are the only company around that keeps everything local. We manufacture the metal on site and carry all of the lumber. We listen to your needs first, and then design a building based on your specifications.
Here at Schmucker Lumber we offer a variety of panels and colors so that you can get what you want! We have four panel lines along with a standing seam machine and keep 20 different colors in both 29 and 26 ga on hand. We have prompt turn around time of typically 1-2 days so there is no waiting around on your order.
We stock a variety of domestic hardwoods for all your project needs. We buy the hardwoods the hardwoods from the regions where the grain and color is pristine, to make your finished project look great. Our hardwoods are surfaced down to 7/8 which gives one the ability to work with it and finish it well.
Our exotics come from all over the world and offer some very unique grains, colors, and patterns that you cant find anywhere else. Most of the exotics are surfaced 7/8, with a range of widths and lengths. We try to do the best to cater to your needs, because we understand your needs! We know that projects can be small and these woods can get expensive so we offer to cut the board for you and sell a minimum of 3-4'.

Someone needs to work on their phone and people skills. I called to get a lumber price on a certain species they advertise and I was very friendly during the whole conversation.I asked how much it went for per board foot He said he was out. (Ok, I didn't ask if they had it...I asked how much it sells for) . I kindly repeated the question. He got a little snappy with me. I asked how soon it would be in again and he said it was not available now. Funny, other sources can get it in. I will drive a further to shop elsewhere. He should have answered my questions in a friendly manner then apologize for
