We just had our 50th high school class reunion at The 228. The entire experience was OUTSTANDING. Tables are both indoors and outdoors, so everyone felt comfortable and safe. The place is really attractive and super clean. Staff were all helpful and efficient. We ended the evening with a bonfire, which was really fun. Definitely a 5-star place, and I'd give 6 stars if I could!

We had our wedding at the 228 at the end of May and with their help we planned the whole thing in 8 weeks!
They were very accommodating to requests and instead of a large wedding package that some venues require (which usually includes things you don’t even want or need), we got to choose which things we wanted and customized it to suit our needs! They were very reasonable and transparent about prices (so no surprise charges or hidden fees), they also thoroughly explained everything before we signed anything.
Then came the actual wedding: We were supposed to have an outdoor ceremony and reception

We absolutely loved this place, everything we were looking for in a wedding planned in under 4 weeks (with the gracious help of Sharon). The grounds were beautiful, the staff were all really helpful, and Sharon even helped book our DJ, Food vendor, and Bartender the day we were there. We had a great time, thanks for everything! We booked The 228 in Sterling for our wedding in late July.
Sharon and her staff made the day spectacular for us! We had both our ceremony and reception on the property. The ceremony took place at the gazebo, and the reception took place inside and (mostly) outside.
Sharon and staff worked with us to make sure that all of the bases were covered as far as who was going to set up decor, and take care of all of the other details that go into the wedding, such as clean and breakdown, etc. We had about 4 hours to set everything up, and because I wasn’t there, I don’t know how it was executed,

The barn at The 228 is a fantastic location to host a wedding! My husband and I had our wedding here in early June, and are extremely happy with our decision.
