Please, please watch your insurance bills and correspondence carefully after medical procedures. Duramed will often attempt to bill individuals/insurance/Medicare for items not received by the patient. Duramed is currently trying to collect money from our medical insurance for a leg cuff that we have never received or even heard of. These people have been investigated for insurance and Medicare fraud in the past. Patient beware!

I have been waiting for my mask now for 4 weeks. Each time I call, they say "sure no problem, we will get it in the mail". Now they say that my prescription is expired. And I had to call to get that information from them. They should have called me to tell me or at least looked it up before saying they would send the mask. And getting a new prescription signed is one of their duties. They could have just done it the first time if they knew it was expired.

I was assisting my friend with his heart surgery back the middle of July, 2021. We were in Houston and he wanted a hospital bed to help with the recovery. I had no idea how to go about any of this. I called Duramed and the several people I spoke to were very helpful and kind. It was a stressful time and they totally took care of us.

A woman who identified herself as a supervisor was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She told me that many people have been upset with her and that their fax machine was down for 2 weeks after the storm. I was required to get a letter faxed from my mother’s physician for them to service her scooter which is only a year old, and on which she relies to move around. She eventually hung up on me. There is no excuse for this unprofessional behavior and lack of service.

I used Duramed because my mom's insurance sent us there. I ordered compression socks for my mom in December. I finally received the socks yesterday (March 5th). I had to continuously follow up with them as dates given passed. They never initiated any calls of explanation, I always had to call them. After all that, the socks were ordered in the wrong color. Although they were very nice their customer service skills lacked.

What cassandra said i went through exact same thing wrong color matter if fact wrong item was ordered i was told it would be ordered for overnight shipment since wrong item was ordered after waiting 3 months for wrong item the overnight shipment has now turned into 7 business days went picked my prescription up i will be going else where i will never use this place again. lie after lie do yourself a favor just go somewhere else for products

I do my business with Duramed because they are located so close to my home. Being a caretaker I need it to be that easy. However, I really am not satisfied with their service. When I go in to the location on the Westbank the women who work there are usually very stand offish, rarely make you feel welcomed. When I telephone the Kenner location the voicemail says to select a certain number for general information and then it tells you no one is available. I have to telephone repeatedly before I can get assistance. I think whoever manages Duramed is dropping the ball. If its the owner shame on them

'Brought my CPAP rx to have a machine dispensed. They told me the insurance authorization should be handled in 2 days. A few days later I called them and was told the request was still being processed. A week later I stopped by and they told me they thought I was moving, and put the request on hold (I wasn't moving, had never told them I was moving, and they never asked). 2 weeks later I called them and a rep said no one had ever performed a request from my insurance.
