Formed in 1981 as a civic ballet group, MOVB has grown into a non-profit, tax-exempt professional dance organization. MOVB is home to six professional dancers and apprentices and trainees. Prominent, highly acclaimed guest artists and master teachers regularly appear each season.
MOVB is the first and only touring dance company in our area, the official dance company of our area and one of the first touring ballet companies in the state of West Virginia.They produce over 50 dance concerts, full-length ballets, lecture demonstrations, arts in education performances, seminars and workshops annually.

Services
Box Office Hours are announced yearly in the Fall. Box office opens 2 weeks before the performance date. Tickets will also be available "at the door" for performances but are box office choice only. Ticket sales the night of the shows begin at the door at 6:00 pm, seating begins at 6:30 pm. We hope you will join us for our exciting performances!
Contact us for information about how we can visit your school and present an exciting program geared to get students moving and fired-up about the arts! Every show comes complete with a study guide to aid teachers in preparing students for the performance with show information and reproducible worksheets.
MOVB is busy preparing for the Summer classes and workshops. Contact us if you are interested in attending! There are free performances on Friday and Saturday open to all who want to attend! MOVB is the best (and ONLY) touring ballet company in the area. The students not only receive systematic, thorough instruction in Cecchetti and French classical ballet techniques, but they also get invaluable experience on stage in multiple theaters in front of a variety of audiences. Their students learn the value of discipline, creativity, and hard work and that carries over into their adult lives, helping them to become amazing, successful people whether they choose to go on to be professional performing artists or any other profession.

My three kids have danced at this studio for 13 years. Not only is the instruction thorough, professional, and on par with the instruction my kids have received in much larger cities, but the atmosphere is welcoming, encouraging and very focused on the needs and well-being of each dancer-individually, as well as within the tight-knit “team/ family” that is fostered from first class through graduation. Confidence, creativity, and healthy ambition are instilled in each of the students who move through this studio, giving each dancer the skills necessary to find success in whatever area they move
