Youth Village, Inc is a 501c3 non-profit child care center located in Fort Walton Beach for children ages 3 - 14. It was formed in 1999 to create a safe place to provide various educational and recreational services to children in our community.
We are more than just a daycare center. We are now a preschool for children ages 3 - 5, a before and after school program for children in grades Kindergarten to 8th grade, and summer program. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment with supportive mentors, teachers and other caring adults to help our children acquire a love of learning and create a desire to achieve.

Services
Youth Village preschool curriculum is Big Day for Pre-K. It provides integrated learning opportunities and introduce children to new vocabulary, concepts, and skills. BIG EXPERIENCES provide integrated learning opportunities and introduce children to new vocabulary, concepts, and skills. Relevant Themes - Big Day's multi-tiered model revolves around eight relevant and child-friendly themes that broaden as the year progresses.
The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program - or VPK - prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. To be eligible, children must live in Florida and be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 of the current school year.

Job Description Summary: The job of Lead Preschool Teacher (3-year-olds) is to provide guidance to the VPK teachers, oversee related learning activities, supervise and teach preschool students developmentally appropriate practices based on the Florida Standards for four-year-olds, ensure compliance with program requirements, and coordinate communications with parents.

VPK - We will offer VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program) for our four-year-old classrooms. It is a free prekindergarten program for 4 and 5-year-olds who reside in Florida. Parents can enroll their child in the state's free, voluntary prekindergarten (VPK) education program that year or wait until the following year when their child is 5.
Our Before and After School Program is for Elementary and Middle School children in the Fort Walton Beach area. Children will have outside time to play and also time to do their homework! We limit our enrollment so that every child is known to the staff and volunteers and has his/her own special place in our hearts!

A very safe, secure, and overall great place for children. Our daughter loves this place, and we have even received free tickets from the program to attend ballets. There have even been a couple of times I was a day late on a payment, and they were very understanding. I highly recommend Youth Village!
