I'm Kris Wood and I've been in the event planning industry for 3 years. I was the administrative assistant and wedding day assistant for Gather + Heart Event Co. with some of the most special friends until I just decided to go for it and start my own event planning company! I've been married to my sweet husband, Jeff, for 5 years and we have 2 beautiful children - our daughter, Charlie, who is 4 and our son, Oliver, who is 2 and a half!
We also have a blue heeler named Sky and a golden retriever named Belle that we adore. I'm an introvert that loves dinner parties - expressing my care for people and their stories through carefully planned events! Music is my first love. I worked in the music industry for Sony/ATV Music Publishing for 4 years before I became a mom and haven't stopped loving it.

As a mother, I got to stand back and soak in every single moment of that day, because we had an event coordinator that created a magical day for all of us.and we only gave her two months to work her magic! After Kris met with us, and listened to our ideas, she swooped in and handled every single detail.

Kris was truly amazing! She was so energetic, super friendly and easy to talk to! She really listened to what I wanted as the bride and reached out to all our vendors to make us the most perfect timeline. Days before my wedding I had a lot to do and Kris offered to print out my signage for me to help me feel less stressed. On our wedding day Kris worked so hard from beginning to end! She made sure every detail was perfect and made the whole day go so smooth. Me and my husband had the most perfect and stress free wedding and we owe it all to Kris! Hands down the best event planner you could ever hope for. COVID made our wedding so much different than I could've ever predicted, but Kristin was able to still make my wife and I have the dream wedding we always wanted! Kris and her assistant from Wildwood Event Co were amazing at my dughters wedding in Cedar Hill, TN in April of this year. She is so frendly, easy to communicate with, efficient, organized and on top of everything. She made my daughters special day so easy to enjoy without a second thought or worry! Kris is literally the best! She helped my husband and I plan our wedding and clean up anything behind us that we forgot about. Which was a lot, considering our 9-week engagement. The day of the wedding can be super stressful but she was there with anything I needed yet somehow managed to not be “in the way.” It was the Goldilocks amount. She feels like family, not a business partner. Whatever you need, she will do an amazing job!
