YorkHoist was started in 1975 by Gerald Kurtz and Charles May who worked on the weekends and in their free time. Since then, the business has been passed down to Kraig May and Mark May, who both have children currently working for YorkHoist. Here at YorkHoist, we care very deeply about family values.

The experienced crane fabricators at YorkHoist can design and build a custom crane to fit your unique needs and application. Fabricated in York, PA using US steel, we offer bridge cranes, jib cranes, monorails, and custom designed solutions in capacities from 1/4 ton to 100+ ton. Overhead bridge cranes are constructed using parallel runways with a bridge beam spanning the gap between the runways.
YorkHoist's Guardian Assurance Packages are designed to be tailored to an individual customer's needs. This comprehensive Inspection and PM program exceeds all OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, CCAA, and insurance requirements. Depending on equipment usage and age, YorkHoist can recommend the appropriate package for your assets.
