Just participated in one of Dan's shows over Zoom which I'm not crazy about but Dan did a fantastic job. He had a mix of closeup magic with cards, cellphones, and audience participation. He also had a levitation trick which was pretty cool. Really enjoyed the show and so did the rest of our group consisting of ages 5 to 95 (literally, it was a 95th Birthday celebration)
His son James is also a great performer.

My group had a fabulous time and were completely amazed by the show that Daniel Chan performed. Most of my friends had never seen a live magic show, and were blown away by what Daniel showed us. I loved the interaction and that it was an intimate show rather than just performed in front of us on a stage. I would definitely recommend to those looking for a fun time in San Francisco.

Have you ever watched one of those YouTube videos of a magician and they do a trick and people freak out? This was the reaction of my coworkers during our company party when Dan and his family did tricks. I cannot say enough good things about then. I saw Dan for the first time years and years ago at the Sunnyvale library. When my boss asked if we could have a magician for our summer party i knew exactly who to call. Dan and his kids entertained 900 people at my company party with a show and close up magic, while his wife dazzled the kids with her balloon twisting skills. We got such great

Expected a world class experience, got a wannabe upscale chinese restaurant instead.
Food was greasy, lemon chicken sauce felt like it was a mixture of powder and other things, and the card trick the magician did was terrible.
The show was a total sham.
It was so disorganized since the host looked clueless and the music seemed off and tacky.
You'd have better luck finding better entertainment in Vegas than this.
It's a waste of money for anyone so buyers beware!

Dan Chan's Dinner Magic show was outstanding. Bonus is the food is good. The magicians come to your table and perform close up magic and leave you smiling wondering how did they do that. After dinner is the group stage performance so you get a double show with new magic. Want to be entertained, entertain friends/family/guests/date, or want to scope your your next company entertainement then I highly recommend Dan Chan's dinner show.

I have been back a couple of times, and each time, its like a new experience.
The food, at the Dynasty, is great and plentiful. Food is served family style.
But, what Dan Chan does, well,..... it`s like magic!, No wait, it IS MAGIC!
I believe Dan (the magic man) works his magic every Monday evening, at the Dynasty Restaurant at the Valco Mall in Cupertino. (easy parking)
Great, great show. Wonderful way to get together with family and friends.
We all left the show, trying to figure out, "How`d he do that???"

DEAL: Join their mailing list to book a deal directly on their website. When you arrive they might offer you VIP seating with a shot glass gift if you didn't already purchase it beforehand. They didn't volunteer the information about how many rows there are so be sure to ask how many rows there are because we were about to pay extra, but there were only going to be maybe 6-7 rows so we didn't mind not sitting up front. Maybe if it was 20 rows then I would have upgraded and paid extra. It also depends on which room they use so sometimes they don't know yet how many rows they

I wasnt sure what to expect from this but I gave it a chance because I thought this would be something my parents would like. They speak very limited English so even though the entire show was spoken in English, it didnt take away from the awesome trick and show. There were some parts that if you didnt understand English, you would be derping pretty hard but that is just the way it goes. I got two groupon deals for $115 a pair and I guess it is usually $100 a person for dinner and the show. You can have the option to buy just the show but there is no groupon for that. Once you have the groupon

Okay my yelps, listen up? I have a public announcement to make lol.
On Memorial day May 26 2015. I had the most joyful, laughable and exciting time of my life at the Bay Area Dinner and Magic Show.
Where do I start? This location is in an excellent quiet secluded area, in china town, close to downtown Oakland near Broadway. It was so pleasant ,peaceful and very clean.
F.Y.I. When I goggled the address it gave me 288 9th street suite 288, I took a cab to that address it does not exist. So I contacted Dan Chan the person who was directing the show and he navigated me right to the restaurant. The

Sooooo entertaining!!! Wow! Such a great night filled with laughter, amazement, confusion, delicious food and great company!
I found Bay Area Dinner Show when searching for an entertainer for a corporate holiday party in December and was unable to book a show because I called a week before... my bad. A few weeks later I decided to call Dan Chan about my father's birthday party and see if he could put on a show in Oakland for us. Dan went above and beyond...really... to coordinate and find a date that worked for my family. He was so accommodating and wonderful to work with. He is a great

This is the perfect family activity, especially if you have Chinese parents - they'll LOVE it. I was afraid that the teenagers would think a magic show was lame, but they really enjoyed it as well and appreciated the unique dinner-and-a-show experience. I was also happily surprised that they served legit Chinese banquet dishes, like honey walnut prawns and duck buns. There was more than enough food and I could tell that Dan & co. were really trying to take care of us and make sure that everyone was satisfied.
As for the show, the focus this time was on sleight of hand and card tricks

Our family with teens had a great time at this dinner and magic show activity.
1. Great excuse to get the family to dress up.
2. Pre-dinner mingling. Meet the magicians personally and see their tricks up close.
3. Delicious dinner at Dynasty Restaurant, best dish was Peking Duck (communal style)
4. Quite special to be so close to the performance. Lots of audience participation. Most impressive act to me was the Sudoku number.
Kudos to James Chan (little magician) for his contributions to the show.

Our family of 3 got tickets through Goldstar for VIP seating and had a fantastic evening. The dinner was top notch, some of the best Peking duck ever , and the magic show very entertaining. I couldn't tell what tricks they were using even standing next to the slight of hand. Our 11 year old wished the show was longer, which is about the highest compliment he could give! My only tip would be give yourself extra time to find the restaurant. It's located inside a big mall.

Took our grand daughter to the show for her 9th birthday. Paid the extra $20 for priority seating so that she had some involvement/interaction with the performers. Turned out we got to sit front row center and our little girl had an awesome time and even participated in a couple of the acts.
They had 7 different performers all very skilled in their craft and the show was most enjoyable - we all had a great time. Will go back again when the acts get a change/refresh. Only markdown was for "average quality" food at the restaurant. Would definitely recommend this for a good night out

I came here on some online deal (it ended up being about $100 with another $20 for priority seating for TWO of us instead of $200 or so). It was a very nice and personal experience. I was informed that about 66 people were there for the event. The event starts when we are seated in a dining area with about 10 or so tables, each with about 10 people seated. Dinner is served "family style" where we all share the entrees among the people at our table. The food was actually pretty good.
While eating, magicians would come to our table and show us some tricks. It was very nice. Some tricks

I went to a dinner show with the Dan Chan Presents dinner show team and it was absolutely amazing. The night I went Dan was accompanied by a comedy magician, and a magician doing crazy tricks with CD's and even a shadow puppet bit. I've seen plenty of magicians and Dan's magic is top notch. The 3 shell game is totally amazing and fooled us again and again. Also equally amazing was the card trick where he made my signed card appear in his wallet.
I used the checkout code "direct" on the website giving us free upgraded seating. He also gave us a cool ambigram shot glass
