Harvard Family Physicians P.C. is committed to providing healthcare to individuals and families in the community it serves, with superior quality and value. To provide information regarding the immediate and long-term financial implications of treatment choices in so far as they are known. Harvard Family Physicians, P.C., was founded by Dr. Kenneth Muckala, M.D., as a family medicine practice in 1989.
A 1967 graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, he had been a member of Springer Clinic in Tulsa and a long-time member of a Minnesota rural practice providing surgical and obstetrical care. Dr. Muckala has continued the concept set forth by the founders of the former Doctor's Hospital located near Harvard Avenue and 23rd Street, which was eventually sold.

Services
Family Medicine can be defined as basic health care for all members of the family, but at Harvard Family Physicians we are interested in your overall care, not just the basics. This type of comprehensive quality-based care is integrated into the way we look at your health. Currently HFP is expanding our Quality Management programs rapidly and Family Medicine services are right at the center of that expansion.
The specialty of family medicine is centered on lasting, caring relationships with patients and their families. Family physicians integrate the biological, clinical and behavioral sciences to provide continuing and comprehensive health care. The scope of family medicine encompasses all ages, sexes, each organ system and every disease entity.
Your ob-gyn will deal with some of the most important health issues in your life, including birth control, childbirth, and menopause. An ob-gyn can also screen for cancer, treat infections, and perform surgery for pelvic organ or urinary tract problems. An important key to maintaining optimum health is getting regular gynecologic care.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine dealing with the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents from birth up to the age of 18. A pediatrician manages physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the children under their care at every stage of development, in both sickness and health.
A bone-healthy diet can help in preventing and managing osteoporosis. Like any living tissue, bones need nutrients so that they can grow and then maintain that growth. That's why a key component to both managing and preventing osteoporosis is good nutrition. Is there a bone-healthy diet? The answer is yes.

ZERO stars for Van!!! He let me suffer in constant pain for NEARLY TWO YEARS while LYING about the benefits/risks of the surgery! I have a new PCP who actually sent me to a specialist, who called the condition severe and expressed regret that I hadn’t come to them earlier. Van lead me to believe the surgery was expensive, not covered by most insurance, had a very painful & long recovery, and a high failure rate. NONE OF THESE THINGS ARE TRUE!!! He lied & continued to tell me there’s nothing worth doing while the pain got worse & worse for TWO YEARS!!! I came in literally in tears and he still

I went to see Dr. Nathan Strandmark. He entered the office where I was waiting without a mask. I asked him if he didn't use a mask when seeing patients. He said he didn't, unless they had a COVID-19 issue. I told him that was not the place for me then. He offered to put on a mask, but I preferred to leave. He laughed while I was leaving. At check out, they gave me my money back.
If you are an anti-masker, Dr. Strandmark is your kind of doctor. If you prefer a doctor who follows CDC guidelines, don't go to Harvard Family Physicians.

Took my grandmother who usually sees Dr Berryman but he was out so she saw Dr Steven Ivan and he was horrible, not only did he not take it seriously but he didn't even feel her hip or bottom bottom to see if anything was out of place or anything. He was in there less than 2 minutes sent her for X-ray and sent her home no… instructions at all not even put ice on it or anything. I go and complain to the business office and was told he couldn't read the XRay and they weren't sure if it had to do with her insurance or what. They didn't give her anything for pain they did absolutely

If you are unfortunate enough to be assigned a doctor on the 2nd floor, expect the worst service you have EVER received from a medical facility. The nurses, particularly Chantel, are the most rude and disrespectful medical "professionals" you will ever come across. I don't know what experiences have caused her to be so bitter, but good luck dealing with her for anything.

Should of taken notice of the red flags you see when you enter the building. No social distancing procedures posted nor mask being worn by the staff. The hand sanitizer station by the elevator seems to have been ripped off the wall. The carpets and fake plants throughout the building are extremely dusty.

Dr. Mahaffey is either racist, unqualified or incoherent. He literally recommended that my mom eat more McDonald's to establish a health weight. He could not or would not even translate my dads ultrasound results and instead prescribed him with 8 different type of medications. 8!!! Our family has gone to this man for 30 years and now that my parents are aging, I'm seeing clearly that this physician is more concerned with supporting the pharmaceutical industry than saving lives.

My Dr retired so I needed a new one. A friend recommended her Dr here but he didn't have any appointments available soon. So I saw another Dr there. The office staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. I was not happy with the Dr though. In the 20 minutes that he was in the room I learned his political and religious views. Not at all professional for a Dr. The nurse was nice but not the best. I'm going to give them another shot with a different Dr and see how that goes though.

I absolutely love Dr. Janet Jones, she is a great doctor. Very patient, and takes time to address questions or concerns. Both her and nurse are sweet and loving. And professional! The office is clean. Wait times call be alittle longer then I'd like sometimes, but Dr. Jones pleasant and professional demeanor are worth the wait. She has been our dr since I became a parent 6 years ago.

I had a horrible experience at Harvard Family Physicians. Yesterday I was there for an initial appointment to see Dr. Van and my appointment was scheduled for 11am. I was still waiting to see him at 12:15pm and ended up walking out because I had to get back to work. I wasn't even taken back to a room until I asked what was going on after waiting for 45 minutes in the lobby. I find this very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I took off two hours from work and was not paid so that I could see the doctor. So not only was my time wasted, but money was too. Very disappointed.

Harvard Family Physicians is a convenient, one stop shop that takes most major insurance plans. I first went to Harvard Family Physicians six years ago when I first moved to Tulsa. I did not do much research and accepted an appointment with the first available physician. That was a huge mistake, and there was obviously a good reason why he had so much availability. The man had horrific bedside manner. I actually refused to go to any doctor in Oklahoma for a couple years after that experience, because I assumed they would all be like him. I eventually needed to see someone again and a few friends

Dr David Griffiths has been our family doctor for over 25 years. He is a wonderful caring doctor and takes the time to listen and help with whatever is going on. I have recommended him to many people and never had any negative feedback. The patient portal is very helpful for drug questions or small issues.

I had the worse experience with Dr. Shoun. They routinely made me wait 30-45 mins past my appt time, the nurse was incredibly rude and sent my refill to the wrong pharmacy 3 times, they forgot to order a progesterone re-check on my baby until I reminded them (even though I am a high-risk pregnancy due to multiple miscarriages), and then there was the billing nightmare. They ordered over 20 lab tests before they even knew if my insurance would cover them. When I asked the nurse if I could talk to their billing dept, she first told me that she did all the billing and was back-logged and did not
