Red 7 Communications is a boutique public relations and communications agency in Las Vegas. We spent decades working in newsrooms across the country. Now we help our clients tell their stories. Kathy has a talent for finding and telling stories that resonate. She started her career as a broadcast journalist, working as a reporter, producer and on the assignment desk at television stations in Madison, WI; Peoria, IL; and Las Vegas, NV.
As a special projects producer for the Las Vegas NBC affiliate, Kathy covered the Clark County School District and issues that impact children. For her work, she was awarded four Emmy Awards (Pacific Southwest Chapter), and was also honored with an Edward R. Murrow Award, and two National Education Writers Association Awards.

Melissa Schaefer and her team at Albertsons in Summerlin provided groceries for the frontline healthcare team at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation so they can continue to protect and serve patients at Nevada's only pediatric cancer treatment center. A total of 59 units was collected by the Vitalant team, which translated into a 211 percent increase above the event's goal.
