Today was my 4th experience at this facility. Sure, it's old and easy to get lost in, but that said, the staff and doctors are great. Even in these COVID times there are very friendly and efficient. I had a doctor assessment and then an x-ray. Everything went smoothly and I was headed home in less than an hour.

It was great when it first opened. Now it's like a faded old woman waiting for her bridegroom...Miss Haversham, anyone? Had to wait 2 hours for a ride and had to take my mother to the basement to find a TV to watch. I guess we were lucky. The information booth had no idea the TV was even down there. I've been to prison waiting rooms that were nicer. Try pushing someone in a wheelchair! Steep ramps, not one single door opener anywhere, tight corners and narrow halls. Time for an update, a coat of paint and some conveniences.

The Upper Peninsula Medical Center is a medical care facility. It contains mostly private practice doctors and a few other things. There is a coffee shop and a pharmacy located inside. The facility is very clean considering it's age. There are bathrooms located all over. Over all a very nice facility. Oh, there's also a walk in clinic.

I had surgery out of town, had an issue with an opening on my suture line . The staff took me as a patient right away, worked out all insurance logistics for me and forged forward with a treatment plan . The staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable. I hope no one has a reason to have a wound specialist however if you find yourself in need of wound therapy this is the place to go .
The staff is all genuinely concerned about you and your progress.
