Our Organization is a club for yachting enthusiasts. Most of us own a DeFever, but others are welcome. We often cruise with fellow members and gather for fun on scenic beaches, or rendezvous at a resort for seminars, open boats and spirited fellowship. Our Vessels are sometimes called trawlers. Traditional in their lines, they're designed for efficient, extended travel, in comfort and safety, on the open sea or the inland waterways of the world.
Our People - We love our boats and we love to cruise. We are mature but never old, adventurous but not foolhardy, self-sufficient but not reclusive, and prosperous but not rich in the common sense. Services
Our People We love our boats and we love to cruise. Most of us own vessels that were designed by the late Arthur DeFever, a renowned naval architect, who is known for his seaworthy cruising yachts. We would rather be anchored in a quiet remote cove than tied to a marina dock. We are curious about the next town around the bend in the waterway, the next enchanted island, and the pristine beach on the horizon off our bow.
A fine small cruising vessel that finds its way into the most beautiful places in the world. Single stateroom forward provides accomodation for two. Normally powered by a single Lehman 120, the 39 foot Coaster is a tri-cabin design with an aft master stateroom with full head, a galley/salon combination, and a forward V-berth with wet head.
We are an organization of owners and admirers of vessels designed by Naval Architect, Arthur DeFever. Some of our members own "Some Other Boat" and even though we call them SOBs, they are actually very nice people. Some have the wrong boat and want a real DeFever. Others had a DeFever and moved to a different boat but want to maintain their many friendships within our club.
Must I own a DeFever in order to be a member? No, you just need to be a nice person who is interested in cruising boats and the cruising life. Most of our members do own a DeFever or are looking for one. However, some have acquired some other boat but want to stay with their cruising buddies in our club.
