This salon came so highly recommended to me by one of my friends who I dearly trust. I just moved to Asheville and am looking for a home to get my nails done. I have been getting my nails done for the last 20 years. I have never in my life received this terrible of a mani pedi. The salon was beautiful and clean. My tech was an older gentleman. He was sloppy, uninterested and terrible. He continued to drop the curing light on top of my toes and make a dent even when I said it he just kept going. He didn't listen to anything I said. The water was cold. He barely cleaned my feet. He did not massage

They do a great job on your nails. Everyone is super friendly and nice. Great atmosphere. Highly suggest getting your nails done here.

The first time I walked into American Nails was for Thang's last appointment on a Monday night to fix a bad fill-in I had gotten at another salon. Without even knowing me, I was greeted with the biggest smile and warm welcome despite my late timing. Even though I was the last appointment, I was treated like the first. I have been coming back regularly ever since! Thang and all of the American Nails staff operate the most welcoming and pristine environment. Fantastic price if you can get an appointment with thang or chancey. If you end up with some of the less experienced people then... you get what you pay for.

Chancey- fantastic. Super friendly but more importantly she was flawless with her work. Put a lot of effort into shaping/cleaning my nails before applying polish and that manicure (just a regular manicure, not gel) lasted for 2 weeks solid.

This place is AMAZING! It's a beautifully clean space where the staff pays attention to what you want. Everything is by appointment so you aren't interrupted by walk-ins,which is amazing to me. They follow covid protocols. Everyone that works there is so nice and accommodating, but GG is by far my favorite! Being able to book online is so nice because you know, it's 2021. Highly recommend American Nails AVL!! So glad we found them!!

American Nails AVL is THE BEST place to get your manicure and/or pedicure. The owners and the staff are very professional, attentive and customer focused. When I'm in town, I always make it a priority to go here.

I went to American Nails after a series of bad experiences around Asheville for the last 4+ years knowing they were voted best. It was my Birthday weekend on Halloween and I decided to treat myself and get a set of acrylics that would last into the Holidays. I am visiting friends and family I haven't seen in years. Not only did they charge me almost $100 for a solid color gel polish on coffin shaped acrylics with "nail art" on only two nails, but one of my "art" nails broke on Halloween day. One of the owners told me everything is higher price because it's higher quality

I have had gel manicures at several different nail salons around town and they only end up lasting about 1 week. Went to American Nails AVL and Tran did my nails...they lasted 3 weeks! I had to come back in to have them removed, they have never lasted that long. She did my manicure again this time and my nails have never looked so good. Seriously the best gel manicure I have ever had. She was so meticulous with this manicure, I was truly impressed!

Walked in middle of the day Thursday and started on a mani pedi right away. SO nice and thoughtful to make sure I got what I wanted. Clean area, parking right out front, reasonable prices.

This was the BEST mail experience I've had. Not because it was fancy or anything... but because I could communicate what I wanted, my tech did it perfectly, and the salon did NOT have strong fumes at all!!! The salon is clean. I love making appts online. The owner referred me by name when I entered and when I left. So nice! The owner, Thang, and my nail consultant were so friendly and nice. Lynn did my nails today and she did such an awesome job! She was so sweet and did my nails exactly how I asked. My pedicure looks great too. Already made my appt for 2 weeks from now

Wonderful place, I love the friendly atmosphere, Lynn did my nails for the second time and she did an excellent job, she took her time did not rush and I'm very very happy.. it's very clean for as busy as they are they sure keep up with it.. I love that you can book appointments online makes it very easy for me, I will be back this is my new place to get my nails done for sure.... Thankyou American Nails you guys rock...

Had a really great experience here! The owner, Thang, was really knowledgable and impressive. He kept everything running smoothly, paying attention to everyone’s needs, answering the phone, and providing INCREDIBLE work on nails.
Also FYI - it seems like they’re having recurrent issues with scheduling two people at once through their website. I hope they can get that fixed, but make sure to book 2 separate appointments on the website if you’re bringing 2 people (it won’t just work to add 2 manicures to 1 appointment). It wasn’t an issue for me as I was alone, but it happened with 2 separate

Absolutely recommend! Thang is amazing and truly gifted at what he does. He is particularly skilled with designs, and I loved working with him every few weeks to figure out what creative style to do next. In addition to his expertise, I have always been most impressed by his professionalism and availability, which is extremely hard to find these days. Fantastic and extremely well kept salon, hands down the best in AVL!

Wow! sarah did phenomenal with my shaky hands lol, very good service and the staff were so kind and it seemed so close knit! bonus points because the owners had the cutest puppy! and the cutest baby, both were very well behaved!

Just got my nails done on Tuesday with an appointment. Besides the customers not having to wear masks the staff did & had everyone come in & wash their hands before touching anything.
Everyone was super professional & friendly.
A new technician started my pedicure & the owner painted my toes.
One of the male technicians did my acrylic fill & fixed three of my nails.
In my opinion with my experience this place is extremely affordable & has a wonderful atmosphere.

This salon by far has been my best experience in Asheville. This was the third salon I've been to and as soon as I walked in the door everyone was so nice and made me feel welcome. The amount of care and detail that was taken to fix my nails had me dumbfounded. I HIGHLY recommend this salon! 💕

I really wanted to love this place because of all the reviews but unfortunately that was not the case. I went to get the gel with extensions with an almond shape and a design. When I showed the design to a few of the employees they told me to wait for Tran to see if he can do it. I showed him the design and he explained to me that it would be $5 per finger and if I really wanted to spend

I made an appointment online for a gel mani and regular pedicure. I was seen within 5 minutes. One toenail was cut a little too short - whatever. It happens.

I've been getting gel manicures for ten years. I know that each layer needs to cure for at least 60 seconds. My tech, an older gentleman, didn't allow me to cure for the whole time. There were multiple layers that were only cured 30-45 seconds. I'm extremely disappointed in the end result. My nails look messy and have the consistency of regular lacquer. This salon came highly recommended, but I will not be returning.

First time here. Very friendly staff and great prices. Was easy booking appointments online. I got a mani and pedi and was very happy with both the services I received.

Went with my GF and it was really clean, bright, and calm. Got both a manicure (gel) and pedicure. Like all nail salons it matters who you see. Definitely recommend the owner Thang was amazing! Tran was average, not bad but just a touch over the nail on one side (I didn't even notice until the next day). Overall I definitely would recommend and will be back!

The pedicure was great! It was the first time we had been there and towards the end, when it was over I wasn't sure what to do next... The technician said thank you and walked away and went out side eventually I got up and sat at the dryer where someone rang me up.

We had some spare time and I was able to convince my fiancé to get pedicures while we are here on vacation. We were able to get a reservation easily. Very clean space. Staff was very nice and friendly. Loved the owners puppy and congrats to the owners on their new baby girl. I definitely was relaxed. Awesome massage chairs. My feet were super smooth and polished, especially after not having a pedicure for over a year and a half. Thanks COVID. I definitely would recommend going here whether you are local or just visiting.

After another nail salon trashed my long, natural nails by ripping the dip off and trying to file and buff my nails with the drill, I left. I came to American Nails AVL and I'll never go to another place. Thang fit me into his very busy schedule (I paid for the woman's manicure who gave me her spot), and he left me so happy with my nails. Thank you to such a professional and wonderful place. I always love coming to American Nails for my S&S manicure. Their rates are so affordable and the staff are so friendly!! You feel like you're coming back to a little family every time you step foot in the door.

I came to Asheville because of a wedding. I needed my nails to be ready for the day! I chose this establishment because of the reviews and because it was close to where I was staying.

I called and one of the staff members answered right away and helped me make my appointment. Unfortunately, I had to call and reschedule my appointment twice and they were so understanding and intimidating. Once your appointment is made (and updated) you get a confirmation text with date and time of your upcoming appointment.

The place was ver clean and social distance was strictly enforced. Staff was welcoming

Thang was absolutely phenomenal, and the yelp reviews I read online matched what I saw-- Thang greeted everyone by first name, was so easy to chat with; and NAILED IT (no pun intended) on the coffin of tips!!!! Been coming here for years. Helen, Thang, Tram, Phillip and Chevelle are all great. They do a great job.
