Henson Building Materials was established in 1938. Our locations are in Forest City, Black Mountain, and Linville, serving the Western North Carolina region, and in 2012, we expanded our services to Upstate South Carolina with our newest location in the Tryon/Landrum area. We offer a full line of building materials, tools, and hardware for professional contractors, remodelers, and do-it-yourself homeowners.
In 2007, Henson Building Materials was purchased by Warner Robins Supply Company, a 65 year-old central Georgia building materials and hardware supplier that is a second-generation, family-owned and operated company. Both companies share the same business values that Henson's has built their name on for over 75 years.

From the Homeowner Rehab to Professional Remodeler to New Home Builder, Henson's Homeworks Design Centers have the experienced design personnel, computer-aided systems, and installers if needed, to provide all of our customers with a design and completed job that will bring years of service and enjoyment from your kitchen or bath project.
Our Black Mountain location is located downtown in the picturesque and historic town of Black Mountain, NC. The town is the front porch to the Western North Carolina mountains and only 12 minutes from the beautiful and diverse city of Asheville, NC. Our professional and friendly staff specializes in providing top-notch service, quality products, and helpful advice to all of our customers.
Our Forest City location is located in the combined quaint communities of Forest City, Spindale and Rutherfordton, NC. While our towns are small, our friendliness and services are big. We border the front range of the Blue Ridge Mountains located in an "isothermal belt" that makes our community very desirable for retirement.
Our Linville location is in the "heart of the high elevations" of Western North Carolina. Just minutes from Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls & Gorge, Boone, Mt Mitchell (tallest elevation east of the Rockies), Blue Ridge Parkway along with many other interesting and beautiful sites.
While our facility is wholly contained within a platted resort community originating in the 1890s which limits our physical size, it does not limit our capabilities to service some of the best and most successful builders and picturesque communities in all of the Southeast US.Our staff is seasoned with many years of experience in hardware, building materials, windows, doors, and cabinetry.

Very poor customer service. An apparently they do not like to honor the warranties that come with their products and services. We have called numerous times, went into the store twice. An all we get are excuses and the run around. Save your money and take your business else where. I know Black Mountain is a buy local community, but you are not suppose to be ripped off when you try to support local businesses.
