Brass electroplating can be deposited on a wide variety of metal substrates in our high volume barrel plating line. Our electroplated brass coating provides an excellent cosmetic finish while, at the same time, prevents parts from tarnishing over time. It is used in a wide range of applications including automotive parts, lighting fixtures and a wide variety of hardware items.
Our cadmium plating service provides a wide array of advantages such a excellent corrosion resistance particularly in salt atmospheres, resistance to mold and bacterial growth, low electrical resistance and exceptional conductivity, galvanic compatibility with aluminum, excellent lubricity yielding good anti-galling and low friction properties, superior solderability, a good bonding surface for adhesives, and it works well either as a final finish or a paint base.
Our copper plating service is primarily used as an undercoat rather than as a cosmetic finish. We meet all of the standards for electrodeposited copper for engineering uses such as surface hardening, heat treatment stop-off, as an underplate for other engineering coatings, for electromagnetic interference shielding in electronic circuitry and in certain joining operations.
Our electropolishing services polish, passivate and deburr metal parts giving them a smooth, clean surface. Electropolishing is an electrochemical process that removes material from a metallic part. It is often described as the reverse of electroplating.
Northeast Metal Works electropolishing process can remove iron from the surface of stainless steel thereby protecting the surface from rust and corrosion while providing a superior form of passivation for stainless steel.Electropolishing provides a surface that is easier to sterilize, improves the surface finish by leveling micro-peaks and valleys and is able to polish areas that are inaccessible by other polishing methods.

Our nickel plating service provides a wide range of alternatives depending on the application. We meet all of the standards for electroplated nickel coatings for both engineering, decorative and barrier coatings in both barrel and rack plating applications.
Our electroplated nickel coating service can satisfy several important functional properties for engineering applications including hardness, strength, ductility, wear resistance, load bearing characteristics, corrosion resistance, heat scaling resistance, fretting resistance and fatigue resistance.
