Rampart Surveys
Kevin began working in the field of Land Surveying in 1975 and earned his Colorado PLS license in 1990. Eric and Russ were both long-term employees of Inc. Their backgrounds include all aspects of land surveying applicable to our service area. We pride ourselves in providing high-quality service and support to our clients, whatever their surveying needs may be.

A monumented land survey requires a thorough search for existing monuments that define the boundary of the subject parcel as well as the adjoining parcels. An Improvement Survey Plat is similar to a Monumented Land Survey with the addition of locating all existing improvements on the parcel. An ALTA survey is the most detailed form of survey available.

Licensed by the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), the State Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors. Approximately 70% of the work we do is for projects located in Colorado Springs and El Paso County. The remaining 30% of our activity is generated through projects located in Teller County, Park County, and Douglas County.
A monumented land survey requires a thorough search for existing monuments that define the boundary of the subject parcel as well as the adjoining parcels. Monuments have to be found for adjoining parcels because no parcel stands alone, so the survey has to tie into the adjoining lots. This does not mean, however, that a full survey is being done on the adjoining lot, but enough to tie the lots together.
An Improvement Survey Plat is similar to a Monumented Land Survey with the addition of locating all existing improvements on the parcel. This provides an owner, or buyer, of a parcel with complete information about property lines, property corners, all of the structures on the property, and sheds light on whether there are encroachments onto an adjoiner or by an adjoiner.
An ALTA survey is the most detailed form of survey available. ALTA's are generally used in the transfer of ownership of commercial property, but may be used in other situations as well. The American Land Title Association (ALTA) and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) developed the guidelines defining an ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey, or ALTA Survey.
